How do you guys think Tony Romo played Saturday?

I typed up a response in another thread, then I guess your whole thread was deleted while I was typing my post. When I hit the back button, my text was gone.

I'll try again I guess.

Romo appears in command while in the game. He is comfortable in the pocket, even more than Bledsoe up to this point. Yeah, he's made a couple of throws that could easily have been ints, but he's been the best of the three QBs overall in the pre-season games, IMO of course.

Considering Romo only took about 8 snaps total. He played well, considering he played against mediocre talent. I think Tyson Thompson outshined Romo. But that is neither here nor there.

Romo is what he is, a backup... AT THIS POINT. I do like Romo's "so called moxie". That he has. He looks like he is having fun and smiling. I have noticed that about Romo. And I like it.

He is a capable backup to Bledsoe, as he should be after three years in the system, and 4 years of college ball.

Romo played great!.He has alot of confidence sitting in that pocket and makes for the most part quick good decesions.I think people tend to over exagerate on his arm being weak,it's not that bad people need to chill out about that.

Quick feet...quick release...he's got a certain "attitude" which I guess is the moxie that's been referred to...His arm is ok...my concern is that if he got extended playing time, he'd have to prove he can get the ball downfield or defenses are gonna choke off the short and intermediate routes.

I thought he made some very nice throws and a couple of quick reads. He made a good showing. It was always nice to have Garrett in the wings when we needed him. Based on Saturday's game I think Romo will be as good or better than Garrett was. Can he be that good consistently and against 1st stringers? I hope so. I'm pulling for both him and Henson.

You won't find a bigger Henson fan than me, but Romo was lights out on Saturday night. He can start and win games for the Cowboys. That's all you want in a back up.

I was just curious and would like to have some civil discussion about his performance ...
I didn't get to see the game but I love the scoring drives. That's what we need from any and all of our QBs. I don't care about Completion % and yards. I want scores.

I thought he looked pretty darn good. I disagree about him getting 8 snaps. He played almost a half. His passes were very accurate, and he made discussions. Here is hoping he can be Jason Garrett with a better arm.

Fletch was obviously giving Romo some backhanded compliments. :clubbed:
