How do you see the rest of the season playing out, and why?

If you say so. Oh so you don't know the last time we swept the eagles. You don't care either that's nice. Your way of thinking is awfully convenient

No my way of thinking is we got a chance to beat anyone anywhere.

If you could just chalk up Wins and Losses every week before the games are played then there would be no point of playing the game.

Its a parity league and anyone can beat anyone.

December is going to be tough.. No doubt..

But if this teams plays their best ball and is focused than I like our chances.

because we beat them once already this year and if we look at recent years and the fact that even when we won the division we didn't the sweep the eagles nor the Commanders it's rather disturbing.

But it has nothing to do with this season! That is the past... and i don't understand how fans think that these things relate to one another? Like our players are going to go into that game saying "well we haven't swept them since 2005, so I guess we're doomed!"

It is meaningless for this season.

So our record in december must also be meaningless I see. That's a pretty convenient way to think of things also.

Pretty much! Stats can be made to say whatever you want them to say... It's really easy... You can make them mean almost anything you want them to mean... But to think that one team is gonna lose just because it's a certain month is ridiculous.

Do we have a crappy record in December lately? Sure we do. Is it only because it's December? Of course not. We always get the cake of our schedule early, and the meat the last few years has been in December. Last season we had to play one of the most brutal 4 or 5 games ever, for any month... just so happened that it was in December. So, if we would have played that stretch in October, and we played Cincy, Cleveland, Washington, and Seattle in December and went 3-1, does that mean that the "trend" would be over? I mean we went 3-1!?

It's all made up for something to talk about! We played Pittsburgh, NYG, Baltimore, and Philly last December... But it doesn't matter for this year, unless all the players start believing the media hype about it...

This team performs/plays in waves of performance this season, meaning that at times they can beat anyone, and / vice versa.

The season hinges on rather or not they are playing on the upswing.

If they are, this team can go 11-5.

If they go into a downward spiral..... 9-7 easily

8-8 no way... will maybe

So, your predicition is if they play well they will win games and if they play bad they will lose games?

I would love to hear your "excuses" as to why we "can't win in December" THIS SEASON, not last season...

I think i've stated why I don't feel as though we will be able to win after thanksgiving.

I would love for the Cowboys to finish 11-5, but I have no option but believe we will see rinse and repeat of years past. The Cowboys are just way to inconsistent to think otherwise.

I think Dallas wins the next three and this precedes to lose the final three finishing 10-6. (@New Orleans, @Washington, Philadelphia) (maybe swap Chargers and Commanders in that list)

Of those games mentioned 2 of them are at home that's SD and the eagles game. I'm not sure where your confidence comes from. However, with the way this team is performing it doesn't matter if we're at home or on the road we're just flat out playing bad. It will be harder to win on the road. Also when was the last time we swept the eagles?

Is this the reasoning you are referring to?

Like I said before, two weeks ago we were one of the hottest teams in the NFL, along with Pittsburgh... both on 4 game winning streaks, and tied for, or leading the division... we've gone 1-1 since then, and they've gone 0-2 since. SO, to look ahead to any other week but this one, and think you know what is going to happen is ridiculous, especially if you are basing it on things that happened in past seasons.

Yeah that's it plus our defense and we haven't played well in December.

I am not concerned so much with win total for regular season or division title. Just do enough to get in.

This team is so unpredictable EXCEPT when it comes to opposing defensive coordinators, so it seems. I believe it will take a "perfect storm"(if you will) for us to do anything different come the end of regular season. Yes I am saying we get into playoffs, some way, some how...

I would really love to take that question mark off of my sig ;)

Well, enjoy your kool aid courtesy of the past few seasons. Until this years team plays a down in December, I refuse to believe that we will fall on our face.

If we are inconsistent, then what does that make the Giants, the Eagles, and the Chargers?

Unless something changes, I expect the team to continue playing inconsistent football for the rest of the season, winning 3 games and losing 3 and finishing at 10-6.

Personally, I think the Giants nose dived due to injuries.

The Eagles live on the big play. Take that away and they have trouble sustaining drives. If you can't sustain a drive, you have trouble scoring. If you have trouble scoring, you have trouble winning.

As for the Chargers. Norv Turner is their head coach. Turner is Wade Phillips except an offensive coordinator rather than a defensive coordinator. A great coordinator, but piss poor head coach because he isn't a leader.
