How do you see the rest of the season playing out, and why?

Disappointment.
Why you ask? Because its our track record.
In the early 90s we had a track record of having losing seasons, we went on to win 3 super bowls.

The past means less than the present and the future means even more than that.

Everyone talks about how we "used to be the past few seasons". Well if you use that argument then the Saints will not do much rest of the year because they went 7-9 in '07 and 8-8 in '08. So does that mean they will lose the rest of the games because how they "used to be the past few seasons"

See how that works. This is a new year for every team.

I agree. Dallas can do nothing to change what has taken place in the past all they can do it deal with the here and now.

I just hope they are ready for the media onslaught that is going to take place in 2 weeks.

There is no way we could win every December game. Its just not possible.

So I hope they can get a loss out of their head and not pay attention to the storm that is coming from the media and just give it all they have week to week and play confident football.

True. The media is going to start the talk. Cowboys just need to keep putting in the work to improve as a team and rally together as a team. They started the season talking about focusing on one practice at a time, one game at a time they need to continue that. It is hard to know how much outside talk really affects member of the team.

I'd be happy with that :)

Somehow I don't think we make it to the playoffs. Call me a scared fan but I can honestly see 8-8 or 9-7...

I don't see how we beat NO, SD, Philly or the Giants. I know its sad... perhaps the funk is here early and we can get out of it...

Understand why you would say this. However, I think Romo has played well at NY in the past. Also, think that SD is playing really good but they did only have 14 points heading into the last drive vs the Giants. I suspect all these games will be close nerve racking games. We MUST be 8-3 after Thursday. If we are, and don't get to 10-6 what a miserable last month to be a Dallas fan.

serious...you do know they are 7-3 right now?

If we don't beat the Giants then we will not win the division and risk losing out on the Wildcard to Green Bay.........

NYG-L(17-13)
San Diego-W(20-17)
@NO-L(31-17)
@WAS-W(20-3)
PHI-W(24-20)

10-6
Wild Card home game GB-W(13-10)

So.... you expect the Giants to win out?

I don't, neither will the Eagles or the Packers either.

If the offense perks up and we don't get any major injuries, we can play with anyone.

I think the Giants still have at least 2 more L's in them.

Thanks to the wonderful world of fantasy football I have watched every Chargers game this season. They have absolutely zero defense! NONE! If you don't think that we can beat that team, then you don't belong on this board! They've beaten alot of the same teams that we have beaten over there winning streak. The Chiefs, Eagles (at home), and the Raiders (who we'll beat Thursday). There only "quality" win was courtesy of a late fourth quarter collapse from the Giants.

And who says that we can't beat the Giants in NY? We always play well on the road. We'll have an extra chip on our shoulder after handing them the home game, and they are not that good! We beat the same Atl. that they beat at home, and we didn't need overtime to do it either! Their defense is starting to fold in the fourth quarter like our was early in the season. If they hadn't won the coin toss, they wouldn't have beaten Atl at all, period.

We can and will beat Washington too... as well as Philly at home.

I see us going at least 3-3 to finish, but i'm expecting 4-2...

...through week 10 they [SD] are behind Atlanta in defensive DVOA...and getting them at home is a plus...Gates and Jackson are the concern though...Dallas can really help themselves over the next three games...and i think they need a win at the Meadowlands followed by a win at home against SD...they would only need PHI home or at Wash to finish 11-5...that's if they have any designs on winning the division this year...it's all about the offense [and Doug Free] now...can they recover?...Bennett caught everything last sunday and was the hottest receiver with 100% catch rate...hopefully Romo continues to look his way...because i think once Hamlin returns and Jenkins heals up the defense will be good enough to bring home a championship, especially with what "looks" like the emergence of Anthony Spencer...

For the life of me, I don't know why everyone is so sure San Diego will beat us. They have no running game and their defense is nothing like it was a few years ago. We will beat them at home.

So you think the Giants sweep us but we still win the division?
