How do you think we do against the Eagles this year?

Take away Vinny's bad pass late in the game, and gues waht we win down there, Winning in Phili isnt all that hard its all about mentality if our team beilives it can win, then we will win, I say it is very reasonable for us to win both games, i seriously doubt BP will let us get swept by any team in the NFC east, remeber we got swept by both the gints and the iggles, we wont get swept this year, not by any team, isee a split or both games.

the gints robbed us in the 2nd game. lol it was sweet til goofy *** retarted just like his bro eli stood up:banghead::bang2::devil::grrr:

god if I could murder 2 ppl. it would be eli manning and peyton.

I think we split the series.
But I think the one we win, will be a shallacking.

...don't do it! Earlier, I mistakingly looked at the Cowbozoy's 2004 schedule -- actually, the 2005 schedule looks to enhance your chances of sweeping the Eagles -- from -0 to +0!

Still believe that some of your priorities should be more aligned toward winning every divisional game; yes, to include the Eagles; but not exclusively the Eagles. Neverthless. here's how I see it ...

San Diego (L), Washington (W), San Francisco (W), Oakland (L); then on October 9, (in Dallas) Philadelphia (L). Remember, at home ...while you play well at home, the Eagles play well on the road. There's going to be a lot of Pressure for the home win against the Eagles. Don't believe you're quite ready for the that type of move yet. Still believe it may be a blowout game.
Believe it's a good thing for you that it is not a Monday night game. Pivotal game only in your quest to sweep -- not In the overall race for your first playoff (not wildcard) birth. Realistically, a wildcard birth should be another priority.

Again, Good luck on your attempts to sweep the Eagles. However, Cowbozoy's coaching staff probably is going to take every game "One-at-a-time."

We'll see! But remember ...you could technically sweep the Eagles and still not make the playoffs. Retrospectively, the Eagles could lose both games to the Cowbozoy and still make the playoffs.

Good hunting! We'll talk about the second half of the season later...

Sneak preview

You'll take a much needed BYE on November 6 -- while we play the the Commanders on November 6. then we'll play you at home that next week!

A "BYE" is a break to regroup, rest, lick wounds, restrategize, etc. But, sometimes it takes a game or two to get back into the groove, depending upon teams you play after the BYE. You'll play the Eagles at home, on Monday Night Football!

Sweep? Let's wait and see before you start bragging about the wins. After all, you could be right!

I don't know, tell me if we will have a passrush. Glenn and Henry should help, and our linebackers should be quick enough to deal with Westbrook, at least somewhat. I think Dallas' only answer for TO is a passrush though.

I'll go with a split.

first game we play @ San Fransisco(w), @ Oakland(w) then home for the eagles (w)

second game we play monday night after a bye @ Philly(w)

w/ our new defense and Julius stepping it up as well as much improved o-line play we will without doubt sweep the eagles

The Eagles are blessed to be in the NFC Least division which virtually guarenteed them 6 wins before the season even started last few years. Now the Giants may be improving and Dallas should be better so it will be closer. The Commanders do not appear to have improved any. Still that does not change the fact that the Eagles are the best team in an extremely weak division.
I do not think the Eagles have what it takes to win the big one and probably never will. I do not think they will do nearly as good this year as last. Still right now all teams are tied and we really will not know much until mid season.
As for Donovan McNabb choking or not I would take him in a New York minute over any of our Quarterbacks we have had since Troy Aikman.
As for the excuses that we would have beat Filthy last year if it was not for Vinny that is crazy. Like Parcells said "you are what your record says you are" We lost and we were not a good team last year. We had way too many problems on offense and defense to be a good team.
I feel most of those problems have been addressed but I still have no faith in Larry Allens ability to protect our Quarterback. This will be a problem for Bledsoe as it was for Vinny and the others before him. Most other issues have been addressed and will be better.
Bottom line is I see the Cowboys possibly winning one against Filthy and maybe even the Giants winning one from Filthy. I do not think the Cowboys have improved enough or the Eagles have dropped down enough for us to win both. But it does appear we are heading in the right direction finally.
Best of all this year for a change the Eagles are not guarenteed 6 wins in our division any more. Curly

God I hate the eagles...But I'm with the majority of you guys. It's foolish to write Philly off at this point. I would gladly take a split. Winning at Philly is one of the hardest things to do in the NFL.
No one is writing them off, but the crux of the argument is, do you believe the Cowboys got better and the Eagles worse? I do. My guess is we split - even during our championship run in the mid 90's, they always found a way to beat us once.

@ San Fransisco

why the win? Is it because you want your team to win or is this based on some tangible reason?

@ Oakland

why the win? Again, is it because you want your team to win or is this based on some tangible reason)

Ok, understand what you'd like to happen, now tell me why you think it will actually happen/or not!

Understand what you're saying about your defense; sounds like BP really worked on strengthening the D. Ok, but the Eagles D was already strong; Plus it was "tweaked" with depth in the draft/FA. These guys know one another and play well together. The defense you're describing was a recent throw together and hope it is better than last year -- in fact you're already bragging about it's effectiveness without it having been tested. Huh!?!

Julius did Indeed step it up last year -- that's a plus and something to look forward to. But where did this O-line come from that's going to allow you to sweep anybody (perhaps not even the Commanders that you've owned for years)?

I'm convinced that you're a good fan who has high expectations for your team, but you haven't convinced me that you've got a lock On an Eagles sweep!

BTW, I could listen to an argument about an Eagles split with you, but the Eagles are even stronger than last year, and they are looking to taste that sweet SB again. Trust me, the Cowbozoys are right in the path of an Eagles tornado. I believe you'll lose one and perhaps pull off a surprise win; or not!

That might be true with you TTW-Bill, but that's not how some of these posters are sounding. One-game-at-a-time ..that's how you make playoffs, and that's what counts! But you sound like you already know that.

A Split at least. They're we be no more 49-21 beat downs this year. As mickey spags noted last year, that was men playing against boys. The eagles can talk all they want about winning with out T.O but we know the real truth. Stinkson, greg lweis, and rookie regggie brown, dont strike fear in to my heart, And chunky soup boy wont be running around texas stadium all completing 60 yard passes. Demarcus ware will see to that. As long as the eagles are in denial about winning without T.O. we could possivly sweep, but ill take the conservative rout and take a split.

Oh yeah..

oh yeeeeaaaaahhhhhhh.

I think we will split, but if we look to be good, then it's time to start thinking that we are better than anyone. That means Parcells will be looking to sweep them since he backs down from no one. But I still think we will split.
