He is a FB. Not rocket science. I dont see why they wouldnt IR Fiametta and bring Chapas up.

Chapas is just really, really slow. I don't mean just that he isnt fast, but also that he plays slow. He doesnt react quickly to what is happening around him.

He did at Georgia. Supposedly he was big for them.

They may do that before the game next week if they think Chapas is better than Phillips. Chapas can practice with the 1st team anyway if that's what they want to do, so there is no hurry to take the action.

If they find the root cause of Fiammetta's condition and it's something curable (and not concussion related) they would want to have him available later this year and not on IR. So they may be waiting as long as possible before making a move.

Why would they put Fiametta on IR if he might be able to come back for the Giants game?

I'm just telling you what was observed during TC and the preseason. Many analysts and fans have commented on how confused and slow he looks.

chapas was a bad pick. there were other fullbacks who went undrafted that are playing a lot well this season.

Such as? Not saying he was a good pick, but I don't know of any other rookie FB's doing all that well this year. And before you say Hynoski, the NYG have the 2nd worst run game in the league.

Hynoski has been out since week 6.

Amahad Bradshaw has been out several weeks

Brandon Jacobs and DJ Ware are taking most of the carries.

So this means Hynoski isn't good how?

I wasn't in favor of the pick.....I thought he was waste........but he made the PS

I can't see him as a nfl fullback.....

It doesn't mean anything. I just mentioned him because I figured he would be brought up, since he went undrafted and a lot of people wanted him during the draft.

He lacks vision to attack effectively. Being a fullback is much more than just blocking. It is being able to "see the hole" as the running back sees it. And having determined where the best route through the line exits, putting your hat where it does the most good.

That is what makes Fiammetta, or any other "effective" FB so good- he sees the play developing as if he were the running back and he leads Murray into it where he sees the hole opening, and he applies the block where it counts- Murray does the rest.

Any fullback can just charge into the designed gap- wether there is a hole developing or not- even if it means he is just going to plug it up... it takes vision to anticipate where the open lane will actually be- not always where it is supposed to be.

Chapas has the heart, the athleticism and the strength- he lacks good vision right now. Not sure if it is because the game is faster- the players are faster, or he is just confused.

Chapas isn't that slow for a fb heck he is better athlete than the giants rookie fb. Look up the numbers. I think he is Confused rite now which is making him play slow. He mite lack instincts right now.

Maybe because to do so they have to release someone. If Fiametta has to go on IR I would think Chapas would be brought up

Chapas is a try hard guy who does not play up to his measurables. He has always been a finesse blocker and does not stand out at anything - receiving, rushing or blocking.

Garrett & Jerry bought a bill of goods.
