When Tank and Randy return, I like how this Cowboys front 7 stacks up with the 2007 Giants. If we recall, their front 7 ended a perfect season for the Patriots in the SB.
The 2007 Giants had 53 sacks that year. Led by Umenyiora (13), Tuck (10), and Strahan (9).
The Cowboys won't get 53 sacks (21 so far) due to how many games Tank and Randy have missed but I can easily see our top 3 sack leaders going something like this by the end of the season:
Parsons (15) - he already has 8
Randy (12) - he already has 5
Tank (7 or 8)
The QB pressures are already good - leading to opportunistic turnovers (Diggs). Once we have Tank and Randy out there, Dan Quinn is gonna fully unleash Parsons. I like the opportunities Odighizuwa, Dorance Armstrong will get too going forward.
Our front 7 will be formidable and soon. The 2007 Giants didn't have any pro bowlers in their secondary, if I recall correctly. TB12 had 50 TD passes but didn't go off like that in the SB. This is our blueprint. We gonna make a run this year. I feel it.
