He probably have been using the "our team is a qb away from being great" excuse.

He's sitting Goff so he has an excuse as to why he should get another year. You can't tell me Goff would've done worse than Keenum last night.

Yeah, I don't get it. The media plays him up big time too. Bet if he's fired this year, someone will hire him fast in the offseason

I've been asking this for a decade. He's the most overhyped bum coach in the league. He got embarrassed by the 49ers. Almost as much penalty yardage as total offense.
I truly think he is an old soul type coach. Don't think he relates to the young punk players today.

Jeff Fisher's overall record is 169-157-1. He's ranked 14th in all time coaching wins and 3rd in losses. If he lasts long enough to lose 9 more games he will set the record for most coaching losses of all time. Congratulations Coach! That's actually a very hard record to break. You have to lose a lot of games and you have to last a long time. Unless you own the team that's hard to do.

I did a little more research and compared him to other long term coaches in the Super Bowl era. (I included coaches who coached for at least 15 seasons after the Super Bowls started ) Fisher's teams made the playoffs 6 times in 21 seasons. The only long time coach that did worse was Norv Turner who went to the playoffs 4 times in 15 years.

Let be honest....he was an oilers/titans coach.

Thats like saying Belichick is a horrible coach looking only at his stay in Cleveland lol.

I think we have a few more years to determine if he sucks or not.

Apparently, he'll get there...heard on SIRIUS radio this morning that he is set to get a three year extension which will be announced sometime today.

Yeah. I don't get it.
I wonder what, exactly, he showed them in week one that led them to say "Let's extend this guy three more years!"? I mean, they got beat soundly by what most believe is a bad 49ers team.

What does that even mean? He has coached a very long time. He is 11th all time in seasons coached and 9th all time in games coached. That is long enough to show who he is. He hasn't had a winning season during his first 4 years with the Rams and it doesn't look like he will have one in his 5th.

Time coached under bud Adams shouldn't count for anyone lol that's what it means
