compare to the corners in this years draft class.

also how does mark barron compare to the safeties in this class?

debate.....GOOOOO.

Claiborne ranks slightly higher than Millner does this year.

No safety is at the comparison of Barron, but Vacarro is close. They are different players in terms of what they bring to the table.

Mo Claiborne is better than Milner because he actually has good hands...

but millner is faster:p:

wonder how both of there athletic numbers compare.

How would you say Barron and Vacarro compare/don't compare?

Honestly think that Milliner is a better prospect than Claiborne was.. Claiborne has much better ball skills its actually not even close but coverage wise they were both top notch in college.. Milliner is stronger and faster and just more athletic in general.. Milliner is also a much better tackler and plays much more physically.

As for Barron/Vaccaro I think that Barron is more of a run stopper/big hitter type.. Vaccaro is better in coverage but I might give the edge slightly to Barron but its not that big of a gap between the two

I have a very different opinion. I don't think Milliner is in the same class as Claiborne, who is very, very smooth throughout and has elite ball skills.

On the other hand, I don't see a lot of space between Barron and either Reid or Vaccaro. Elite athletes at defensive back these days will play corner, and each of Barron, Reid and Vaccaro are in a closer range - to me - than Milliner is to Claiborne or Peterson.

I'm just one guy, but I like Vacarro more than I liked Barron.

I'm not a big fan of safeties who aren't rangy...and while its not like Barron plays safety like RW towards the end, I don't think he's the playmaker that Vacarro could be. But, as mentioned before, they are two different types of player, which makes comparing them pretty tricky.

This..

If you already have cover skills, the ball skills are overwhelmingly next in line for a CB.

I think Mo and Milliner are different types of players. Milliner is bigger, stronger, faster and a better tackler... more explosive athlete. Mo is smoother and fluid with elite ball skills. Both of them had very good technique coming out, better than say Peterson who was a better pure athlete than them.

I'd still take Mo over Milliner because I think fluidity is highly important at the corner position and you can always add size and strength.

Last 4 years I'd rank the top guys:

1. Peterson
2. Mo
3. Miliner
4. Haden

Peterson's the best one to come out in the past decade IMO.

I think they are actually pretty similar, so I was wondering what others see as the main differences.

What makes you rank Mo ahead of Haden? Also, i'd argue Mo had a better rookie year at corner than peterson did....

As prospects? Mo had better ball skills and is slightly bigger and faster than Haden.

It's close between Haden, Mo and Milliner though. Peterson was in a class by himself as a prospect.

Athletically, absolutely, and Peterson had the return skills to bolster his overall value even further. As a pure cover corner, Mo was the best prospect of the three, although Haden was the quickest of the three to develop his talent.

I just don't see Milliner as being in the same class. Milliner looks closer to Mike Jenkins (as a prospect). Quality prospect, to be sure, but not Haden, Mo or Peterson.
