With him likely to free fall, how do you think that will effect the value of the CB's that will be left at 28

Conley, Sidney Jones and Fabian Moreau situations mean we will likely end up taking the no 9 CB at 28

These are the 5 I think go before us.

1. Lattimore
2. Humphrey
3. King
4. Awuzie
5. White

I suspect we end up with Adoree Jackson. It is possible a team above likes Quincy Wilson or Tez Tabor but I doubt it.

If I were forced to guess pick 28 Jackson would be it.

They were all slated to be gone before all of this happened...now they're still all gone

I believe his point is other CB's will now go before us. Taking the place of Conley and I added Jones and Moreau. Jourdan Lewis may have even been a 1st rounder before his Domestic situation came out.

I guess the sarcasm just flew right over your head

I think the suddenly shrinking pool of CB's means we go CB at 28.
They aren't going to force a CB pick or a DE pick just to take one. If the value is poor they wont take one there. They arent taking a second round prospect at 28 with first round prospects on the board just to take a CB or DE. It all depends on what grade the players left carry. I could even see Jackson gone. I think teams will have a higher grade on him then media and fans think.

The talent pool is still deep at CB and to less exent DE ( but still relatively deep). You dont get a CB at 28, you still have a starting quality player at 60, and even 92. I really dont see them drafting a Cordea Tankersley type at 28 just to get a CB

When they let Claiborne AND Carr both go CB became a must. I do believe they could have waited until 60 but now that so many are likely not on their board I think CB at 28 will be the pick even if it is a reach.

I dont see them reaching and I dont see the immediate impact as nearly as dire as people think. The top 3 is pretty much set. A rookie may bump Carroll down, but thats about it. The need is for future starters, if the reach at CB just to add a future starter they are doing it all wrong. Anything below Jackson is a poor use of a first

Do you think Jerry will send in his investigators to check out the Conley situation? Could he get him like Collins a few years ago?

I think the CB situation is pretty bad. Scandrick can't be relied on. Carroll is stop gap and Brown showed some promise as a rookie but he is still relatively unproven. I think they draft two cb's and definitely are looking for a day 1 starter at 28.

The only way I see something other than a CB at 28 is if they really like Tankersley and there is someone at 28 that they just can't pass on.

Someone will draft Conley late. Collins didnt get drafted because he said if a team drafted after the second he would not sign and re enter the draft. He would have been drafted day 3 and probably very early day 3 if he didnt say that

I dont think they see it as that bad. If they did they would have done more in FA. They absolutely dont go into the drafted needing to plug holes. Whether you agree with there assessment of not. And theres is often wrong

Honestly I think if value was even they would go DE over CB

With the Cowboys picking 28th, I'm not sure that we can predict anything.

That is true. I don't think I have had anxiety prior to a draft quite like this one.

It is different when you feel the pressure of a draft being a turning point, I guess.

It also does not help that they basically set it up this way by doing zero in free agency.
