i dont know the purpose of this. IS this doing something for the fun of it. You know who won, the Patriots, the end. At the end of the day no matter how hard we try to turn it into a science, the draft is a crap shoot at best. It probably is the second best gambling mecca after college football. You can not turn it into a science, why simply put to many factors for that people do not bring into the equation and a few you cant.

Lol, Doc...the presentation format could use some computer interaction...

Sorry that the OP wasn't more reader friendly...a pie chart might be more effective.;)

Two 12 win seasons in the past 3 seasons means more than dabbling in mystical science.

Coaching plays a huge role in who wins and loses games in the NFL -- much more than people are willing to admit.

The Seahawks are the only team in the top ten on both of those charts and they came in back to back years and led directly to two Super Bowl appearances and a Super Bowl trophy.

I applaud anybody that puts effort into looked at draft history because neither fans or media put much effort into past history evaluation relative to how much effort is put into reviewed upcoming drafts.

Having said that, there are limitations to most methods of analysis. This one gives the Pats a negative for Garoppolo.

This analysis is basically about what you paid (how high was the pick) vs what you received (performance).

If you used a 1st on a player that only performs to the expectation of a 2nd round pick, then you might have over-paid but at least the player was a contributor which IMO is better than using a 3rd on a player that never contributes.

Now that has a familiar ring...back to back.

and a 1-2 playoff record vs Pats 2 of 3 championships

One can compare trophies all he wishes...but that still stays in the past.

Andre the Giant still got beat by Hulk Hogan. And Hulk Hogan saw us off in Germany, along with George Bush.

Rooty toot toot, I still like what projects for the Cowboys. AND I'm a Cowboys fan!:flagwave:

That is why each new year, everyone is gunning for the top team...and someone will make it over them. It's that hard to repeat.

i can applaud it too and i like to read some of our posters own thoughts. That aside, it doesnt still bring into the factors that the draft and combine can account for. in fact to this day, the combine can NOT tell you the heart of a player or how that player will react in bad game situations or a whole bad game. That can make or break a young player in a hurry. It is still not a science.
