How far up would #27 + next years #1 move us up?

Just curious, right now we pick at #27. If we take this years first and next years first how far up would that move us? Taking a look at the draft chart (I know it is questionable how much these are used nowadays) i think we could move up to anywhere from #10 to #15. Does that sound about right to you guys?

With that being said what players if any would you be willing to trade up that far to get that would be worth our while? Are there even any players in this draft that would immediately take us over the top to make such a deal?

No way I'd trade next year's #1, barring it was an incredible deal.

Romo could get hurt and that could turn out to be a very high #1. It's usually just not a good idea.

I can't find a player that has a remote chance at being around at 15 that is even worth considering to trade up for.

McClain, but the NYG are #15 and I dont want them getting 2 first rounders next year, so I would not do it.

I would not do it unless someone like eric berry from tennessee happened to fall... but thats not going to happen. But if there was a player that we desperately wanted i don't think it would necessarily be a bad idea. With the team we have i don't expect it to be a very high pick...... hopefully 32!!!!

The lower rounds (2-4) are so stocked this year that I would actually prefer trading away THIS year's #1 to move down THIS year (multiple picks, say a 2,3, and a 4...)

on who's the other team and who's available.

In this particular draft, it should go a long way since the QBs aren't that great coming out of college and it's, basically, a DE/OT draft.

IMO, there isn't much of a difference between the 11th and 20th pick, if you don't need a WR or RB, so that would usually men the price is lower than usual.

Ya, that's about right. Next years #1 is worth half of what this years is worth and this years is worth 680. Considering the Cowboys are one of the top teams in the NFC ya gotta suspect they'll be drafting late again next year so that would leave next years #1 worth in the 300-350 point range. Add that to 680 and you have somewhere around 1000 and that would get you around #15 this year. For what that's all worth.

I agree, half way.

I wouldn't mind trading down as long as we stay in the top 50.
