Like the engines in many motor vehicles, this offense has some built-in revolution limiters.
Most folks point to Parcells as the revolution limiter. But with Bledsoe's weaknesses and his need for near flawless protection, and the Cowboys' defense, it makes some sense to keep this offense from getting too "rev happy."
This offense can be efficient, productive, and occasionally explosive. They can be more than good enough, given the potential of the Cowboys' defense.
It is easy for us to focus so much on the Cowboys that we lose sight of just how good some other teams are. There are NFL offenses that have the potential to be far more dynamic - (Colts, Bengals, perhaps the Falcons). And the Giants and Eagles have as much potential on offense as the Cowboys and probably more.
Efficient, productive, and occasionally explosive - that's the goal for the Cowboys offense.
