They've lost 4 straight games and they get to play for 1st place next week. Crazy.

If we win this game then today's loss is no biggie IMO but if we lose next week I think we'll be lucky to make the playoffs.

Let the best team win and let's see who really wants this thing.

i dont agree, if we lose next week, its not over

with that said..even if we win next week, its still not over, lol

Incredible. Plus, they have proven they can play with the best of teams after beating Pats, and going jab for jab w/ Packers.

If Im not mistaken, we need to split with Giants and beat Philly for a playoff birth?

Oh boy. I think I'm balding. LOL.

not really incredible at all

they lost 4 in a row and we lost 1 game

its not like we blew every game during this stretch

Make no mistake about it. Whoever wins next week will win the division

The Giants find themselves in a pretty good position right now, despite losing 4 straight. They control their own destiny; have the Packers and Saints out of the way and have the chance to to take over first place in the division next week against a team with an offense stuck in neutral. :(

If we win next week than all we have to do is win 1 of our next 3 and the Giants lose 1 of their next 3 and I believe we win the division.

I think whoever wins Sunday night takes the East.

but if we lose sunday night..then win out..which is tough but not impossible..we win the division

win next week..and we have to still beat philly..or the giants lose another game

The Cowboys are going to really have their hands full next Sunday against the Giants. If the Cowboys lose that game which could very easily happen based on the dogfights they been in the past 3 games they could end up 8-8 this season. I see Sunday nights game as a must win for the Cowboys or they're headed for another December collapse. I'm just calling it the way I see it.

They've lost 4 in a row. They lost earlier in the season to Seattle and Washington. They lost to a Vince Young led Eagles team at home. The same team that got thumped in Seattle.

I'm sure they're breathing easier knowing they're still very close to winning the division, but I can't imagine they feel all that great outside of that.

Next week is a huge game, Giants, even though they lost, must feel good about themselves competing against the Packers, just like their Superbowl year when they played and UNdefeated Patriot team and lost on the last weekend of the regular season, then went on to win the Superbowl, beating the same undefeated Patriot team..Giants win next week, they hold first place in the division and Dallas has another division and conference loss and that put them in serious trouble

So only the Giants are allowed to feel good after a loss?

Got it.

They are going to come out next Sunday like they have new life. We basically gave them a 2nd chance today.

Next Sunday night will be as close to a playoff game as you can get.

No the Cowboys should still feel pretty good too although next Sunday night could've been for the division clincher.

We have an opportunity to take the east by the footballs and if we don't than I don't wAnt to hear excuses for Jason in the offseason.

He has the golden opportunity right here and now. Go take it.

If we win next week, I'm 95% we clinch the east before we have to travel to NY week 17.

If we lose, we'll be in trouble. But probably still controlling our destiny to regain the division by winning the last three.

But I'm at a loss after today's game. Not sure we are the team most of us want us to be.

We're going to learn a lot about this team next week.

My own view is this: If they can't beat the Giants at home, what hope do they have of beating GB or NO on the road in the playoffs. So, this is more than a must win game, it's a season/future measuring stick.

I doubt they feel good but the Cowboys losing to a crappy AZ team with a wounded Kevin Kolb who hasn't played worth a **** all season has given them a glimmer of hope. They have the Cowboys twice and the second meeting will be in NY so the Cowboys blowing one today has given them some hope. Everyone is well aware of the Cowboys December history and here they are off to another rocky Dec start.

Should have said that in the OP. I agree with the last sentence.
