I can not find a general consensus on what AB is or isn't.

All the sites I check, including this one have mixed analysis/evaluations on what the Cowboys have in AB.

Do not use the "for a 6th rounder..." explanation/rationale.

I want to know how AB stacks up against any/all current or free agent CB's as of today. Preferably in tiers.

Please enlighten me.

Not nearly as good as lot of people thought in the offseason. He should have easily fended off Jourdan Lewis who basically missed all of the preseason if he were that great.

Not as good as last year. Not as bad as this year. He's a 7th round pick who is probably a solid 3rd or 4th CB.

when you say free agent CBs what are you talking about? current FA's sitting at home, upcoming FA's, guys signed this past offseason, ....

Think he's average - slightly above average. Wish we had a good safety to really know. I know he looked better with Church and Wilcox. Hell, the entire secondary looked better.

He's about average at this point. Doesn't get thrown at a lot. He's struggled against the corner route and then overcompensates and gets beat on the slant. I don't like his inability to shed blockers either, but he does tackle well in the open field. Could use some help from the D-Line and Jaylon as well. He's really just average. Lewis has looked borderline exceptional.

Scheme needs to change as well. It's a dilapidated scheme.

Never looked into it till someone posted this a week or two ago about him playing on the other side of the field, compared to last year.
The post said something about Lewis getting snaps at RCB* and Brown is now playing the LCB spot and struggling?

*IIRC

He has been decent. In this scheme he is better than Carr or Claiborne and now he is better than Scandrick.

Long term I think he is the 3rd CB if Awuzie plays CB.

In some games they played him so far off the ball, that he was going to give up a lot of short pssses. It seems like he is playing tight now.

RCB is considered harder than LCB against right hand QBs and he is the starter at RCB. It appears that Scandrick is the 3rd CB now because he has been off the field in 2 CB sets.

He is average. Won't ever be a #1 corner. He will be a #2 that you are constantly trying to upgrade. He is our version of Terrence Mitchell of the Chiefs. He makes some plays. He gives up some plays.

He's been one of the best slot corners in the league statistically this season, and as X mentioned, he seems to have surpassed OScan in the pecking order. He's still a little too grabby though.

As opposed to Orlando "grab throughout the route and then act shocked when he sees the flag" Sandrick? Brown's been beaten in the red zone a bunch this season, but against some really good routes and no safety help. Beyond that I haven't seen him beaten too frequently when teams are driving. He'll be a solid top 3 CB

hes a great pick
great

he looked excellent last year
but hasnt been as consistent this year

2 t hings
1 he was drafted in like the 6th round and hes not a guy you take off the field.
thats great value

2 the entire secondary is playing together as a new group with rookies throughout getting time
just like the offense line
i think he has shown he can play and will be fine
if not, theres competition right behind him

i feel safety play has hurt and he doesnt have good help at times

is he Sherman?
no
so that makes a scrub for some trolls im sure
hes not the problem, though he has played better
