How Good Will Our Pass Defense Be?

Top 3, Top 5, Top 10? Hard to believe it won't be at the very least top 10.

Haven't you heard? It's all about the pass rush.

I'm guessing it will be in the top 32, but it should be even better than last year's if you can believe that.

The addition of Brandon Carr elevated it to top 16. It could be top 10 depending on how quickly Claiborne develops.

I'm hoping top ten. I figure Jenkins will play for a big contract somewhere so he'll make the most of his opportunities, the front seven already generates decent pressure and hopefully Crawford will add to that. I know it's silly, but after watching Johnson's highlight video I'm more excited to see what he can do than Claiborne.

Well in fairness we still do need to improve the pass rush, however anytime you add two big time corners like Carr and Claiborne you're gonna be a much a improved defense. We went from a below average defense to a way above average/borderline elite defense. Great job Jerry!

lol....I know....people seem to forget yeah the giants have good pass-rush but they also had alot of 1st or second rounders in there secondary. (that's what people seem to forget). Heck both of their safeties are 1st round draft picks.

It will be good. I'm hoping our corner play can elevate the safeties.

The pass rush should be better to.

One of the reasons they have such a successful pass rush.

People are being especially conservative because they don't want to sound like homers.

But Brandon Carr was a big part of Kansas City putting together a defense qb rating of 79.1 (7th in the nfl).
According to Pro Football Focus, Carr allowed just 39 receptions and a 61.7 passer rating in over 1,000 defensive snaps in 2011. The Cowboys didn't have a cornerback on the roster last season that could match what Carr gave the Chiefs last season.

Dallas opponents completed 336 passes last year...

Carr has knocked down 28 passes over the past two seasons, second only to the Cleveland Browns' Joe Haden, with 30.

Terence Newman? 17

Jerome Henderson's cleveland secondary put together a defensive qb rating of 80.6 (9th in the nfl)

Not really. Their secondary doesnt scare anyone.

They lost five CB's on season ending injured reserve.

Amukamara was out for much of the season to.

Their secondary is no joke.
