Maybe Dallas is different. Pretty much every football fan knew Clint Murchison was the first owner & that he sold the team to "Bum" Bright. They may not have actually known who they were, but they knew their names.

Buffalo is a case in point . They contend yearly . They may not make the SB yet but they own the division . Vie for best record in conf. Pegula the owner has a daughter who’s a tennis pro and I believe they have financial interest in the Buffalo Sabres hockey .

They have a GM & scouting dept & a coach who’s been there awhile . They win the owner is in the background .

Dallas fans want a legit contender that gets past the Wildcard round yearly .

For the record, the richest is Rob Walton (yep, Walmart), co-founder of the Walton-Penner ownership group. Condoleezza Rice is a limited partner. They own the Broncos. Jerry Jones is 6th or 7th richest.

You see off the top of my head I had no idea the Walton’s were involved in the Broncos . The furthest I go back in memory is Pat Bowlen and I believe he passed . That’s good ownership when you had no idea who owns it .
