I may have spelled his name wrong.

I remember in the draft chat poeple went crazy when we did not take him. How has he looked so far in the early preseason?

I only saw a little bit of the Squealers game, but he looked pretty good the couple of times I saw him run. I'm happy with Felix though.

he is a bull that runs like a timid mouse.....he runs scared instead of running angry.

basically, the USC game seems to be an anomaly. If he could reproduce the intensity he had in that game and bring it to the NFL, he will be an absolute beast.

I'm pleased with what we've seen of Felix. I just think his character, personality combined with other traits make him a better fit for the Cowboys. Think the drafting of Choice in the 4th round reinforces the reality that we intend to use Felix in a variety of plays outside the box. Who knows, maybe Felix & Austin will both become "wow" players for us.

I am happy w/ Felix. I love his attitude and work ethic. Plus, he adds an excellent receiving threat out of the backfield that Mendenhall wouldn't be bringing. If we didn't have Barber, I would have prefered Mendenhall. However, most of the NFL has become a 2 rb league and we have the ideal 1-2 punch.

I've heard very good things about Mendenhall from the Steelers camp. But there was one negative surprise so far---they say his goal-line work has not been as good as Parker's.

He looks huge now, so I would think with his skills and power that he could possibly be coached up as far as being more deliberate, but you never know....some players just have a nose for the goal in the red zone, some don't.

Heard he had a problem getting motivated to play football in college, glad we passed.

Reminds me of Troy Hambrick, and no I'm not kidding.

I was talking to a Steelers fan today that watched the game and he said the same thing. He seems to run w/ no fire.

He looked very powerful in that game. He has big strong legs. He ran hard and broke a bunch of tackelers.

I dont think we could have made a bad decision at that spot both guys look good. We will really know in 2 to 3 years.

I'm sure Mendenhall will do fine, he has gone to a good team who likes to run the ball and has a good OL to run behind. I think Dallas made the choice of who they felt would be the best fit for our team in Felix and all he brings to the table. In the end I really don't care what Mendenhall does or does not do in his career I'm only interested in Felix Jones we made our choice so why look back?

I'm a little too busy still rue-ing Marcus McNeil, Manny Lawson and Shawne Merriman to start on Mendenhall yet. Give me time...

That is the most healthy way to look at it.

I just like seeing how all of the rookie backs are doing--with Mendenhall, Rice, CJ, macfadden and others just being a part of it. But any "what ifs" are really a waste of time.

FWIW, combining MB3, Felix and Choice seems to cover everything at RB pretty well!

I like the group of RB that came out in the draft I think most of them have a legit chance to shine in the NFL. In the end Dallas got the man they wanted and as long as he is getting the job done for us it really does not matter much to me what the others do or don't do.

Mendenhall has been okay so far except that his goal line running has been very poor, to the point that the Steelers are going back to Parker for that.

We all saw what Felix Jones could and will do on Saturday night along with Choice. Jones and Garrett made the right choices in the draft. Felix is going to give us a dimension we haven't had in a long time.
