Mike & MIke had an interesting segment last week. Dallas is very fortunate they have a very good QB locked up for several years at such a low salary. Other NFL teams are paying huge money for their QB's. So How long do other NFL Qb's have to play in a game to make what Dak is making this year.

We need to take advantage of that. We are going to lose some good free agents in a couple or three years. We have young studs that will need to get paid.
Kind of sucks when you draft so well in consecutive years. NFL needs a hometown discount on the cap when you keep your own guys

When it's time to pay Zeke his 2nd contract, the fact we will have just given Dak a huge contract will squeeze us. It's gonna be "Dez or DeMarco?" all over again if the cap management is not exactingly prescient.

Not too concerned, the QB position will get paid and then Zeke if there's enough money. Doubt Zeke will get a long term contract like Adrian Peterson did back in his prime. You can win football games with a good defense and good QB play.

We'll take Dak 100% of the time and would let Zeke walk in that circumstance. I think they'd go ahead and draft a replacement, though, instead of thinking the Joseph Randles of the world would be good enough.
