Defense possibly offense maybe top 10, OL is still a worrying point
I totally agree. I still have my worries about our offense but feel even still that we'll be much more explosive than last season.

a top 5 offense requires a premiere offensive line. like a seattle or indy
Seattle just lost a huge chunk of their premiere OL when they lost Hutch.

They'll still be good no doubt but no where near as good as what they were the past few seasons.

I doubt they'll have both just because the NFC East is so tough. If they can get a top 5 defense and a top 12 offense, I'll be fine with that.

The main things I look for during the season are:

- Time Of Possession

- Turnover Margin

- Points per game Allowed

- Sacks

Generally, if you finish in the top 8 in each of those categories, you're most likely a Super Bowl contender.

I'd say around top 10 in both, barring key injuries.

I can see our D being among the leaders, but our offense all depends on how much BP is willing to open up the play book. On paper, we should have one of the best offenses, but the hanging chad is BP.

There is no doubt in my mind that we will be a top 5 defense this year, and with all the young talent we should be for years to come if we can stay relatively healthy. The only holes are at FS and we just drafted Watkins so well see how that turns out, and depth at NT, but the more i read about Montavious Stanley it seems he could be a good filler. Offensively I think we will be great as long as the O-line holds up. TO will open up opportunities for everyone like Glenn, Witten, Fasano, and Julius with so much attention to his side. So to me, we are a much better team this year than last and could be top 5 in both offense and D.

5 Defense and offense this season?

I believe our Defense and offense will be top 5.
Defense can be top 5 if Ayodele or James can be as good at defensive play calling as Dat was.

The offense I don't think so. Might crack the top 10, I'd say around 12 is more likely.

Dat was good at studying film and recognizing plays. Didn't he school James?
I'm hoping that Dat has a Job on the staff to help with the LBs.

Yeah he did and last year James did a good job.

Don't forget though, we lost our best guy on the DL in Glover so we have to overcome that loss.

Getting Ayodele, Carpenter, and Watkins will help, as will the depth we've acquired in FA, the Draft, and UDFA, but Glover was a true force to be reckoned with.

I think we need to remember that when talking about improvement across the board as a defense.

Both top 10.

Depends on how you rank Defense??
Points Allowed
Yardage Allowed?
Points makes more sense to me. Same with offense. It always has.

Defense will be top 5-7 at least. the young DL and Ware have more experience plus the addition of 2 strong LBs in Ayodele and Carpenter, particularly in rush defense...

The offense will be very productive, probably ranked somewhere in the 8-12 area. All the offense needs to worry about is limiting penalties, turnovers and sacks. The talent of the skill players will take care of the rest.

That's one of my "wonders" of last year. I wondered how good James would be without Dat on the sidelines recognizing for him. We shall see, I reckon.
