can visualize Irvin and Deon moving into an important position within the NFL one day?

they already are, and that position is "keeping Pacman out of the hundreds of strip clubs in Dallas".

Mission impossible?? I think that he may surprise some and stay clean. With being broke and losing his house, that has to very humbling.

We will see.

I beg to differ. How many times have you heard of Primtime talk about business decisions? Besides everything that they do is a business decision.

I can't.

I like them both, but I don't see them in the same light as "Important Positions."

They're good ambassadors for the league. But I don't think that translates into holding an official paid position in the league office.

No-in basketball and other sports, getting former players to be GMs/coaches seem to be no big deal, but not so much in football. Especially on the GM side, alot of experience with the business side et al seems to be a must, otherwise most of our GMs would be former players retired recently.

Most GMs work there way up thru various football organizations, both in college and the NFL; some of them at one time were also scouts for an extensive length of time. There are few GMs who were former NFL football players except for Ozzie Newsome whose with the Titans? Don't know how many former players are interested in becoming GMs which is low paying job compared with what most starters & many backups make.

The GM of the Lions was a former player...that's why they suck!!

:p:

Right now they get paid a whole lotta money for doing a whole lotta nothing. If they worked for the NFL, they would have to actually, you know... work. I don't think it will happen.
