Agreed. I won't be surprised if we see just one UDFA player make the roster........or none.
I think Luepke will over McKeon (another UDFA) because of what he brings to the table. I think we'll see him as a fullback who can block and catch as well as McKeon (at the very least) and a short-yardage back.

One of the receivers might also stand a chance. We initially kept Houston on the 53 last year, but he didn't step up after a strong preseason campaign and ended up on the PS. Truth is, when you get down to the fifth and sixth guys, it's not like we have proven players there. The UDFAs are going against Fehoko and Tolbert for those spots.

Quinn has praised Land, but I think he starts out on the PS to be developed. Bass might too on the offensive line. The 16-man practice squad, plus the modified rules, makes it easier to keep your UDFAs and some vets there. Generally, unless you are really concerned a team might poach one of those players when they are waived, the PS is usually the way to go to see if they can develop.

I've watched a YT highlights video on a couple of the UDFA...read a paragraph or two about some of 'em.

Which means I have zero idea which of them might make a go at a roster spot.

They are mostly kids from smaller programs with less competition...or with major question marks. Anyone talking about a hunch or picking a pet cat is welcome by me. But those making declarations about any of them is farting out the side of their butt.

Unless they are really committed and want to invest intense sweat equity actually outside the normal box...2 may last up to three seasons and on the practice squad list, if they also do great special team's play

If Leupke doesn't make it I'll be astounded.
he is my pet cat. if he can do what we think he can do, him and vaughn will be match up nightmare from backfield. between him, vaughn and Pollard, three different styles of play that makes it hard to prepare for.

What I would like to know is what's the league average for undrafted free agents making it big or at least having a long solid career.

I mean when you just bring the Cowboys into it. we don't know how to compare that with the rest of the league how are we doing versus the league average?

After watching some videos and reading some press, there are a LOT of UDFAs that I am interested in watching. However, I am extremely interested in 3 guys: Luepke, Durden, and Land.

UDFAs are fun to watch and all, just don't put too much into it. They are mostly try hard camp cuts.
