Smith wouldn’t start, Beebe would be on their practice squad. Their offensive line is why they are as good as they are. The Cowboys don’t have an offensive lineman anywhere near talented enough to improve the Eagles starting five offensive linemen. Too many fans delude themselves even more the Jerry, and then have the nerve to criticize him.

If the Cowboys don’t use their first round pick on an offensive lineman they are as foolish as most here contend. I’ll bet Philly trades up in the draft to get the best O tackle they can.

I don't disagree with you, I think Tyler Smith would play over Becton.....But the fact we are arguing about if the Cowboys best offensive lineman is better than the worst Eagles offensive lineman is concerning.

@Scottishcowboy asks a question on another thread....how many Cowboys would start on the Eagles? Take out special teams and I would say two, Micah and Ceedee. Doesnt that show how far away we are from competing with the Eagles? How many do you say?

I don’t think Wll McClay has ever been the problem in talent gathering .

Yeah I'm a Beebe fan but I would agree. Not sure the gap is that big between the two players, but Beebe has some serious weak spots in his game that he needs to work on. A year from now it might be a different discussion, but as of early 2025 its hard to say that Beebe is the better overall player.

If Parsons had his way he might be starting in Philly...and Beebe is not nearly as athletic as Jurgens. Beebe doesn't have his speed to get to the second level. That's why Kelce told Roseman to draft him--he was the center most like Kelce himself.

Did you watch the Super Bowl? Who does Bland replace in the Eagles secondary? Who does Tyler Smith replace in the Eagles O-line? The way the Eagles rushed the passer, Parsons would be an upgrade, sure, but not a massive one. Brown and Smith were stellar too. CD could get in there as a slot receiver.

I’m not short changing him. If I thought he wasn’t good I’d say so. I just see athletic ability on tape with one player that I don’t see as much with the other. I lived in the Philly area when Kelce was just starting out. Jurgens looks so much like him it’s scary. I hope Beebe becomes a top five or better center for us. Hell, we need it.

Becton was a reclamation project, but so was Baun. Just because they weren't "wanted" doesn't mean that they didn't find a better home and fit, and grew into their new roles to be stars. That's a silly argument.
Bland had zero INTs last year. Why would he replace any of the DBs on the #1 defense.
Smith and CD are different receivers. CD is more like AJ Brown, and I'm taking AJ every day.

Becton plays right guard. I don't know if Smith replaces him or not. Parson starts. CD would be the starting receiver in the slot. He wouldn't replace Smith because CD isn't that type of receiver. He doesn't stretch defenses. He would be more in the mold of Aj Brown. He wouldn't start over Brown.

The question was what Cowboys would start . Becton is a G Tyler Smith is now a G . The Jets didn’t even want Becton . Overshown is a LB . Sideline to sideline its sad he’s hurt again . If you offered Nakobe Dean to Dallas pre Overshown injury it would be heck no . And yes Bland younger cover corner starts as one of Phillys corners . Over Slay . In today’s salary, kept parity, driven NFL there isn’t that drastic of a difference between the worst team in the league and the best team in the league. The difference of making it or breaking it can be two or three players. In some cases maybe even one. I know a lot of us are complaining about the 30 year drought but the reality is there’s been about 6 to 8 years during that 30 years that we were actual legitimate contenders. Perhaps maybe one player short or one bad place sort of making it all the way.
