the team was embarrassing in the 1st half. it was almost unwatchable.
the team keeps playing 'not to lose'.
when the rushing was stopped like many expected, they went in the tank with no contingency planning.
there was no pass to loosen up the run
the so-called rpo new offense - where was it? i think i saw 1 jet sweep.

if this keeps happening, think garrett is fired by week 8?
we got his replacement in house in richard.

where can we get a new oc though?

Only give up 16 points and still lost. if Earl Thomas was here he'd probably be giving dak an earful(which he needs to hear)

Jerry and Stephen are too stubborn to fire Garrett. He was their pet cat and their chance to prove to everyone that they know football. If they acknowledge this failure for what it is, then they will have to admit they failed. It is going to take an epic collapse for them to fire him.

Jerry is not going to fire Garrett in the middle of the season and maybe not at all. He's had lots of reasons and we saw it again today when the Cowboys went for it on 4th and 10 with over 2 minutes to go and 3 times outs plus the 2 minute warning. The way Dak has been playing the chances of getting 10 yards on that play was about 1%. The right call is to punt the football and try to p in the Panthers deep. Then they run 3 times and the defense stops them - as they did. Then when the Panthers punt you figure the offense gets the ball at worst on your own 40 yard line. Garrett did his usual nonsensical thing in the last 4 minutes. Its what he's been doing for years and he is not learning from his mistakes. If Jerry can't see that he is blind - and stupid.

We'd probably have to make Lal the OC if both Linehan and Garrett midseason. I'm doubtful that scenario will play out.

In the salary cap era, how many owners or GMs have held on to a coach longer than eight years when that coach has missed the playoffs in six of those years? I can’t recall it happening before. It’s a testament to Jerry’s emotional investment in Garrett.

last time the headcoach was fired, i think it was mid season. and the replacement was already inhouse just like it is now.

Remember Scott has some insulation, Jerry won't fire Linehan in the middle of the season because he does not want JG calling the plays so then it would fall to either Moore or Lal...
