How many games until McCarthy gets fired?

I'm not sure, is Jerry clear headed enough to make the right moves? I fear he may be a little touched in the head.

The offense is inept and I don't see Jerry having the patience if the team starts losing multiple games in a row. If San Fran blows us out and the offense looks stuck in the mud does Jerry panic and fire McCarthy? He was already on thin ice for failing in the playoffs and now there is Noone left to blame for the offense looking awful.
The only scenario where I could see Mike fired during the season is if the Cowboys are 2-4 at the bye week and the red zone struggles are a big part of it.

We all know who Jerry would promote to replace him, if that happens.

McCarthy isn't the problem. Good lord.

Linehan, Garrett, Moore, McCarthy..... how many does it take?

Dak's serious limitations make it difficult on playcallers. Notice how many run plays McCarthy called in the red zone with time ticking. Then he finally lets him throw..... interception.

The problem here is the quarterback, and the quarterback only.

Howell, Purdy, and now Dobbs have schooled Dak in the last 5 games, and he didn't look great against the Giants and Jets, who only managed to score 10 points thankfully.
I agree erod, I think MM was afraid to turn Dak loose so he was hoping to get the TD with the running game.

Let's him throw an interception, like he gives his permission, and all Dak wants to do is throw them?

Y'all are a hoot.

It's just one loss, but it's the same problem over and over and over.

And that problem isn't McCarthy.
People are looking ahead and see that we don't have enough to beat the Eagles or Niners in January.

Answer To the OP question: It would take a a complete and total collapse in a manner worse than anything we’ve seen since the team gave up on Coach Cupcake in 2010. Translation: Not this year.

Are they still number 1 if you take away defensive turnovers? Honest question. How many points have we scored that didn't come off turnovers?
I don't know this. But we have seen them move the ball well between the sticks. Struggles in the EX regardless of how they get there.

McCarthy?

A shower curtain could have offered Dak better protection than the two undrafted rookie O-linemen that were two days removed from the practice squad. Then you had a five year journeyman with 16 starts under his belt in addition to a 2nd year player just coming back from injury.

This was clearly the responsibility of the defense to at least maintain their performances from the previous two weeks and they gave up almost as many points in the first nine minutes of the game than the two previous games combined.

You would have thought that Quinn was still coaching the Falcons in the Super Bowl. I don't want to hear about McCarthy.

FFS, he coached two back to back 12 win teams and the one loss we have this season has everyone in need of therapy.

Who was the problem the previous 20 years before Dak got here, cause it's been since 95? Just curious.
