I have literally blown off everything possible so I can see the NFL "newbies" I consider myself a full fledge scout now after knowing next to nothing about these players 2 days ago. I would guess I have about 12 hours of viewing. I would guess that a sizable bunch on CZ have put in 12+ already. Chime in on 3.

I did not know there was a television/cable show dedicated exclusively to the Combine.

Son. You need to get with it. I kid, I kid. The nfl network has been doing a week long show on the combine for about 8 seasons now (since the network was unveiled) Direct tv is amazing. I get tons of local stations and ALL the NFL stuff.

Don't watch a lot of tv so I try and get most of my Cowboys news here at the Zone. Watching the Combine would only frustrate me, though, because I'd want and not get given Jerry's recent draft history. The only players he has drafted recently that I actually wanted were Dez and Smith.

I also think Ford will be long gone and probably a 1st round pick. The chihuahuas (DBs) finished things up today for this years combine.

Used to watch all of it. This year, not a second. I chalk it up to severe apathy about the Cowboys, and resigning myself to the reality that Dallas has an 8-8 ceiling for the near term future. If they'd go ahead and suck so that they have a high draft pick, I'd pay more attention. If they'd change what they are doing and become successful, I'd pay attention because there is playoff excitement. Maybe there would be that one player that could put them over the edge. Watching it now feels like watching a NASCAR race where they just go around in the same circle for hours. And the car with the star on it is several laps behind and not gaining ground.

I'll still watch the draft, but man has my interest and energy waned.

Assuming Dallas selects a Safety in first round, and these two are available (neither of which is a given), who do you like?

I'm going with Clinton-Dix. The combine did nothing to separate the two in terms of physicality, so I'm going with available tape. On tape Clinton-Dix looks more like a true center fielder, which is what Dallas needs. Clinton-Dix has a pretty good knack for being around the ball and capitalizing on mistakes and the occasional loose ball. When I watch Pryor, he is always just a split second late to the ball in the air in the secondary. Sure, Pryor is a more physical player, and he would probably be my choice if Dallas were in need of a Strong Safety, but I like Clinton-Dix skill set better as a compliment to the talent Dallas already has.
