How many penalties today?

I lost track at 9. Wondering if we broke double digits again.

Regardless, penalties are completely killing us. Anyone get the accurate count? How many yards, too?

10 down 2 from last week, wooooohoooo improvement! *fist pump*

One or two more were called but not accepted because we mucked the play up more than the referees did.

I would think the players would take it upon themselves to stop the stupid penalties. Jenkins alone is causing enough problems I'd think his teammates would get on him.

The celebration thing is out of hand. I doubt we'll see much more of it though, as this season is as good as over. What's to celebrate.

How many of them were actually good calls?

And how much stuff did they ignore that Minnesota did?

Something else is going on people, dont know how much more some of you need to see before you "get it", but its alot uglier than just bad coaching or dumb players.

Oh we'll see more of it, don't think this team is above celebrating every 1st down the get even at 1-8 and down by 20 :bang2:

Ware was lined up in the neutral zone, that call was declined.
I don't remember any others, but I could have missed them.

I am not one to complain about bad calls or inconsistency in play calling. Even with my son's pop warner team, I am usually the one who is telling the other coaches not to waste time complaining about ref calls/non calls and focus on making sure we get the players in position to make plays that will make the refereeing a mute point.

But it really does seem like the refs are calling a different type of game against the Cowboys and it feels very biased. This appears to have been going on for sometime now but lately it is happening more often has become more blatant.

I find it really hard to believe that we have the same penalty problem under two different BC with totally opposite styles and almost completely different players. The only constant is Jerry Jones. I wouldn't be surprised if he has pissed off somebody in the officiating offices or the NFL offices.

I found these two articles and I wonder if they have something to do with it.

I have been thinking this for a WHILE. Jerry the Maverick has really pissed somebody off. I know when Tags was the commisioner he was a Commanders season ticket holder. I wonder who Goddell cheered for as a kid?

Once again the refs had something to do with the outcome of the game. That last penalty on Jenkins was questionable also. First the pass was uncatchable. Therefore a penalty should not be thrown for an uncatchable throw. Secondly, Cromartie from last weeks Jets game was much more physical with Moss. Yet there was no calls on those.

Sure there was contact made. But it should have been both players since Moss also pushed. I think the refs should not have called it. Let the players play and stop trying to determine who should and should not win. Its quite obvious now that the refs are against the Cowboys. Everyone of them. Because if that was any other team, no penalty would have been called and they would have let the game go as normal.

Jerry the maverick is almost solely responsible for the enormous amount of money the league takes in now due to his tremendous work in marketing and negotiating the league's TV deals. He's also one of the guys who helped that idiot Tagliabue get his job in the first place back when Rozelle retired.

That doesn't mean he hasn't pissed somebody off in the front office or officiating.

I think the stats for penalties are messed up.

We had 2 penalties on one play alone. (technically)

15 yard celebration tacked onto the kick, and then kicked out of bounds which moves them to the 45.

Isn't that 60 yards worth of penalties in just that play alone? How could we have just 90 yards of penalties?

It's having the chance at a HOME Super Bowl.

There is a reason why teams that play Dallas average 4 less flags a game than their average against every other team.

There is a reason why Dallas has outplayed every team so far this year, and find themselves at 1-4.

Well, I hate to say it because that celebration penalty was the biggest BS I've seen, but Kansas City got the worst end of a bad call I've seen in a long time, and I was rooting for the Texans. It ain't just the Cowboys. It's time to have full time professional officials. Too many part timers letting their own interests interfere with proper preparation and position to make the right call.
