How many people want analytical threads?

This is a serious question.

Is there any method to have some threads that are serious analysis without devolving into rants about the past 20 plus years of Jerry, etc.

Is there any way everyone could agree to show show an extra level of respect in threads if there was some key word in the title like "Analysis" ?

Example of Analytical vs Not-Analytical Threads:
There is CZ member (let's call him Mr. F) that I often disagree with on most topics in life including many disagreements about what happened in games; however, if he does a game review, I know that he at least reviewed the game. Even if I find his review biased, at least it's based on what happened in the game and not a manifesto on all of the mistakes Jerry has made over 20 plus years.

If Mr. F creates a game review thread. I'll try to keep my responses analytical.

If Mr. F creates a thread saying that Dez is good guy, I'll respond that Dez is a turd.

Regards to @FuzzyLumpkins

If a pass rusher came free and sacked the QB, I'm interested in knowing who actually made the mistake of not blocking him.

At the point of the specific game and play, I don't care if if it was my favorite or least favorite player. I just want to discuss and understand the play.

Yes, my own bias might cloud my judgement; however, if people make a quality argument against my opinion, I'll go back and review the play again.

Disagreement is good. I would just like to see some threads that stay focused on what really happened on a play or in a game without getting derailed.

There are plenty of other threads where people can just repeat themselves like Dustin Hoffman in Rainman. Is there any method where people could agree to allow analytical threads to remain analytical?

@Reality and staff give us this site to express ourselves as fans of the Dallas Cowboys. They even allow fans from other teams to express themselves. Can we find a method to respect their work by having a few threads that where people show respect for the game of Football by allowing detailed discussions of technique/scheme etc. ??

I love posts that are analytical / data oriented in nature, I also enjoy the more conversational threads, but please do start contributing analytically.

Posters in a rage don’t want to hear positives or analysis. Right now a lot of guys here just want everything burnt down.

I’m angry/unhappy too but want to try to continue to talk rationally. Thanks for this post, OP.

It would be nice to have an “open mind’ board where respectful discussion of opinions can occur in which differences are tolerated and respected, regardless of whether 2 sides can agree. It could be free of sarcasm and overt bias trying to win an argument instead of discussing the topic at hand.

I’m guilty of my share of mud slinging but I’m only matching the mood of the forum and try to stay away from serious football discussions because it’s almost impossible to have. Everything eventually turns into an argument anyway so why bother trying?

I know it is a pipe dream, and this is the way of the internet, so I’ll just play along.

Thank... thank you. We need more ET and Gregory threads instead.
I get that you laugh at the analysts here, but it's not like you provide much yourself in that direction.

I, for one, love @xwalker and @FuzzyLumpkins and @LatinMind and @jterrell among others doing analysis and offering things that I may not have seen, or thought about.
Whether I agree, or not.

I love the idea. Too many on here are quick to become insulting. Either that or people want to beat their favorite dead horse. It shuts down meaningful conversations and turns into a pissing contest.

I fully endorse this and promise not to spread my normal stupidity into said forum.
Only special stupidity.

I am all for analysis. What walker provides is not that. My LOL was his comments about his bias and and wanting to understand better blah blah blah at the end. Totally not true.

I analyze plenty, though. Finally, some people are catching on to what I said 2 years ago on some things.

Does Prescott get his throws to Beasley off fast and does it matter?

Evil dogberry would like a discussion on 30 yard slants.

I am much nicer now than I was on other site. But one can't deny spirited repartee makes for far more entertaining threads.
