how many points has our defense scored this year?

I'm back again! When I started this thread I did it more in response to the "Bledsoe bashing" and NOT the lack of great defensive play (most of the time!) that the Cowboys have played. The bottom line is that I HOPE and EXPECT that the team will make the playoffs and hopefully go deep into the playoffs with Bledsoe for several years to come! As far as the post referring to me as "Drew Bledsoe's mom" I have to say NO to that one and state that this is the kind of response I would expect from a small child or someone with poor manners!
Lighten up Mrs. Bledsoe, it was a joke !

Most fans follow teams, not players.

So when you said you followed Bledsoe from the Pats, to the Bills, to the Cowboys, and that your screen name was "Patriots Fan" and then "Bills Fan", I laughingly asked myself, "who else follows a certain player from team to team other than their mother ?"

It was just a joke. ;)

I don't actually believe you are his mother. (are you his wife? ... sister? ) :laugh2:

First of all let me say that I have been a Drew Bledsoe fan since he first came into the NFL! With that in mind I am now rooting for the Cowboys to win it all with DB as their qurterback! Of course I do realize that ONE player does not win or loose an NFL game (it takes a team effort to win OR LOOSE!) but the quarterback is the center of attention and ussualy ends up with most of the credit OR the blame for wins and/or losses! with all of that being said I have come up with several questions that I wonder if anyone can answer: first -----how many points has our defense scored this year on turnovers? (NO YOU can't count the ones that the offense scored AFTER the turnover!) second -----how does this rank with the rest of the NFL? third -----how many NFL defenses have allowed at least one tochdown drive in the last say four or five minutes of a game this year?(and of course how many time has DALLAS and how do we rank?) fourth ----and IMO the most important question-----Who really cares as long as the DALLAS COWBOYS WIN? (just WIN baby!)

In the last two years we have scored ZERO points on defense or Special Teams. No returns for TD by either squad. We had 3 TDs in 2003, 2 by the defense on INT returns (Mario Edwards & Al Singleton) and one by the STs on the opening on-sides kickoff by the Eagles that Randal Williams ran in for the quickest TD in NFL history.

The truly great defenses score TDs because they are aggressive and force the offense into making mistakes. We don't have one of those yet and never will as long as Zimmer is the DC.
