How many snaps did Byron Jones get on defense last night?

Didn't hear his name called except for the dropped pass by Cook, has he been completely removed from the rotation? What a busted pick.

Yes but it was a nostalgic one, we got the furthest jumper in the combine. Now thats something you can clap to.

Jones made his money, got his shot at fame, and came quite contempt with status quo.

Defense was swarming with him parked on the bench. He had a nice deflection on Cook, other than that I didn't see much of him. The D plays with a different swagger with Frazier on the field. Also AB seems to have gotten his wake up call. Overall I was pleased with the backend's play despite a lack of pass rush.

Jones is a free safety. Frazier is a box safety.

Byron is playing fine, and as the pups are coming along, he's playing better along with them. He should be used more as a slot corner though.
Frazier is clearly not as good in coverage, but still, he replaces Jones on the field, not someone else. Heath has been playing more like a free safety than any of them. Jones is used more as a cover guy on TEs.

Unless Jones can become more physical and tackle better, he’s not a quality safety. All the great FSs are good, physical tacklers, even the smaller ones. I think Jones moves back to CB next year, but he won’t do well there either if his tackling doesn’t improve.

I give you credit Zordin. You’ve been leading the charge for Byron Jones to the bench or a different position at least.
Defense is better with as in more physical with
Frazier/Heath/Woods
Jones has lost whatever will he had to tackle.
I think he is still of value just not as a safety.
And btw, props to the coaching staff for making the change. Very uncowboylike to bench a first round pick no matter how bad he was playing
Frazier is becoming more of what we missed with Barry Church back there

With the reduction in his playing time, I'm surprised he hasn't been tried at CB yet. Heath, Frazier, and Woods have looked decent at Safety, so now would be the time to see Byron at CB.

in addition to the Cook drop, he was on the field for the 5 yard dump off to Deandre Washington on 3rd and 9, where Washington faked him out of his jock and gained the first down. I think it was the 1st drive of the 2nd half. Rather than getting off the field, they scored a td. So, there's that.
