How many TDs does Romo end up with?

We all know Romo is having a legendary year and has thrown 33 TDs, which is the most in Cowboys history. He should have had 6 TDs last night instead of 4, but Fasano and Owens dropped a gimme respectively.

How many does he end up with when the season is done?

Giving some of the teams we play in the coming weeks, I say he gets to 40. It depends on whether we are resting players at the end of the season or not.

I'll say he gets 7-8 more, maybe 10...I think he wont be playing much that last game vs Washington

I say 41.

He has 33 right now.....should have 35

Crayton dropped one in Chicago and TO volleyballed one into an INT last night.

But with 4 games remaining, I see him getting about 8 more TD passes, in the next 3 games. I see Dallas winning all 3 and then Romo sitting out against the Skins, cause we will have HFA throughout the playoffs already.

Fasano also dropped one last night.

I always thought a ground couldn't cause a fumbled because he clearly had control of the ball and it only came out when he hit the ground.

I would venture to say he will get 43. He will have one more 4TD game a 3 TD game and two 2 TD games if he plays the final week. If he doesn't play the final week I say he get 40.

I'm feeling 43. 2.5 per game is about where he's headed, altho we face some porous pass defenses coming up. The shame is that this season really is legendary, amazing, one to be remembered, but it's getting overshadowed by damn butt-chin in New England because he throws 50 times a game. If Romo maintained his TD/pass rate, and had the same number of attempts per game as Tom Brady, he would have 37 TDs now, which is only 2 back of Brady (in one more game.)

We're slingin' it now, and I think Red Jesus, Romo and TO want to catch those New England jerks.

You have to maintain control even on the ground

40 TD's is very attainable. That's monsterous for a guys first full year starting.

I think had we taken the Pat's approach to running up the score (not that I believe we should have taken that approach) Romo would be much closer to Brady in his TD and yardage stats. We had at least 5 games this year were we were trying to run out the clock with at least 5 min remaining. Had JG called his regular game in those last 5 minutes I think Romo would have had at least 4-5 more TD's and probably 300 more yards.

In 2004 when Peyton Manning set the current TD & QB rating records, he overshadowed this production by Daunte Culpepper:

4,717 yds
69.2% completions
39 TDs/11 INTs
8.9 YPA
110.9 QB rating

But no one cared because of the TD record. Fast forward to this year and repeat.

As for the OP, I think he'll hit 40 in Carolina and play sparingly (if at all) in Washington to close out the season.

The replay ref explanation made it sound as if he would've been down by contact it w/be a TD....

but since he fell on his own, no contact......the ground rule doesnt enter in

????????????????

Didn't Romo end up with a passing TD on that possession anyway? I think TO caught one a play or two later, so it didn't hurt Romo's numbers in the end (other than an additional incompletion).

Either way, it was nice to have a Fasano sighting. He's had those plays open all year, but Romo's gone to Witten generally. There's a reason we spent a second on him, apparently it wasn't to make leaping catches in the end zone. ;)

Favre's best total was 39. As long as Romo hits 40 I'm happy.
