How many times do you win the turn over ratio by 4 to 1?

Not to be taken to one extreme or the other. Just only to see through many eyes the outcome of game #1.

Question: how many times do you win the turn over ratio by 4 to 1? Win time of possession buy almost 10 mins. First downs and you name the rest and lose.

Now, Even though Dak was great, did the rest factor into the final score and give us somewhat of a false hope?

Just tell me I'm wrong and I'm good with that!

It is very difficult to lose when you win turn over battle 4 to 1. It means you needed a miracle to win. You got your miracle and still lost. I have also said this. IMHO it is not a good sign.

I'd like to think our defense was at least responsible for a couple of those turnovers, plus I don't know for sure but did any of those turnovers lead to a missed FG and/or EP, False Hope? I say no, Tom Brady winning a game with that many turnovers probably happened more than once or any élite QB for that matter.

When Prescott's your QB you lose that game a lot. Losers lose.

It's like professional wrestling. The outcome's predetermined when these Cowboys are going up against a real contender. All that stuff leading up to the finish is just meant to keep you entertained until you get there.

nice. I was thinking about 80% of the time you turn it over 4 times its gonna be a "L". Crazy game.

If I'm not mistaken, I read that the Cowboys were the first team in the NFL to lose despite all the stats you just posted. Of course we did!! LOL

Sorry I edited while you were replying. But totally agree only a few teams in the league and likely those with top five QB's could ever have chance at that but since it was Brady I don't think I have any false hope about the team.

Good Post, made me think and I just woke up!

I give credit to the defense for creating the turn overs. It was great to see. I hope it happens every game. The thing is you can't expect to get that every game and when you do get it and still lose it means you were seriously out played in all other aspects. It was a gift and we were a bad enough team to squander it. And half the board thinks it was a moral victory.

It feels like the Romo years all over again. We will do amazing things stat wise in the passing game ont to end the season 8 and 8. But Dak will be a household name and Jerry will be relevant. Yay team.

Anomalies happen. They happen even more when you play the world champs on the road with the GOAT at QB.

Cowboys won’t always force 4 turnovers. That being said. If they can consistently win the turnover battle….. they’ll win a lot of games.

It was the combination of total yards, turnovers, time of possession, etc. I know teams have won despite many turnovers. Case in point, a Monday night game, I think against the Bills. Romo threw like 4 INT's. But we managed to win the game with a bunch of FG's. :p

Not to mention the penalty battle we won also.

CeeDee catches that ball that hit his hands instead of that INT

Zueirlein hits that 31 yard FG.

Even the extra point.

That OPI at the end of the game gets called.

Conner Williams doesn’t get that call against him.

Not being able to run the ball late in the game to drain the clock/move the ball with a highly paid RB, o-line and mobile and tough QB.

Basically all these little things add up for a team facing the champs on the road. That team can overcome errors because they come up with TD drives when needed and make defensive stops when needed. Brady even said it before the game. If they score then we have to score right back and they always did. MOMENTUM they won the MOMENTUM battle.

With everything we did we should have came out with the win. However I believe this will be a good lesson for a young team that should improve as long as injury doesn’t over consume us.

"Anomalies" happen a lot with this team.

Winning the turnover battle 4 to 1 usually creates a win.

I used the term anomaly because statistically losing the game when you win the turnover battle 4 to 1 is an anomaly.

You’re right that they seem to be on the short end of the stick in some of these games.

that’s what happens to poorly disciplined teams who make mistakes in crucial moments.

I’m sure the w/l isn’t great for teams that miss 2 field goals and an XP also. A lot of these factors add up.

I still think if they win the turnover battle consistently they’ll start winning more games. But that’s also a big IF

Cowboys were the first team in the NFL to lose despite all the stats you just posted. Hard to imagine where you find a stat like that including all the other components of the game?? I can see you quoted one game you remembered that's all good.
