How many times were you tempted to turn the game off and go to bed?

For me, I always get tempted, but never go threw with it, even if they are down 30. I always have to watch until the final gun. But man, I was so tempted to turn it off after the 5th pick, I was sooooooooooo pissed off. Then again after the missed 2 pt. conversion.

I think I changed my "Lucky" position on the couch, floor, etc. 80 times, changed "Lucky" shirt, etc. a few times and nothing worked. So what did I do? I just stood there w/ the remote in my hand waiting for the game to end and we got the onside kick! So, needless to say, I just stood there in the same position w/ the remote in my hand until the 2nd 53 yarder went through. :)

0 times. I have never turned off a Cowboy game in my life, I have never left the stadium before the clock goes to 0:00 no matter if we are getting blown out or winning by a large margin. I stick with my boys until the bitter end.

When it looks like we are going to lose I get tempted, but I never follow through.

I was watching the Seattle-Dallas game in '04 at my dad's, and when Seattle got the ball back with only a few minutes left I got back on the road for the hour drive home, and listened to the final minutes on the radio broadcast. Never again.

Edit: One other note, I did have to work that night so I figured I'd start out.

I'm ashamed to say that I have turned off two Dallas games. The Charger game in 1980 (my mom made me because it was so late on a school night) and the 1982 Viking game where Dorsett ran 99 yards. I saw the Dorsett run, but turned it off later in the game because I could not keep my eyes open any longer.

Darn those night games!

If we are talking about radio games (not on TV) I turned off the 1989 home game versus the Giants because the reception was so bad.

There are many examples of me going to absurd lengths to see/hear a game over the years, but I especially regret that Vikings game.

Having been a fan since the early 60s I have learned to never turn off the game until it is over. I have seen way too many miraculous comebacks over the years to ever give up hope. This game just reinforced that belief.

There have been several times when I have hit the off button only to hit it again to turn it right back on. It drove me crazy because I knew they were capable of turning it around and winning, but I was so mad I couldn't stand watching. It never lasted more than 2 seconds. I mean come on, they could line up and run a play in the time it takes the tv to come back on! I couldn't stand not watching. I just had to show my frustration somehow, and burning my Cowboys gear in the living room is not an option. The MNF game never got turned off though. I harkened back to a Navy Cadet leading the Comeback/Cardiac Cowboys from an impossible deficit only to pull it out of the fire in the end. I get that same feeling from the new Cardiac Cowboys. So, while I may hit the off button momentarily, it ALWAYS comes right back on!

Only once in my life that I remember.

The Commanders game two years ago at DC. I just could not bear to watch it anymore!

NEVER crossed my mind.

While my father kept asking me "what wrong with Romo... is he drunk?" LOL

I kept telling him.... he will get it together on the next drive.... boy did I sound like a broken record for a while there LOL

I felt like we had a chance all the way until the failed 2pt conv. non PI call on TO.

Even with less than 20 seconds... its seemed unlikely that we would get into position and line up for FG... it was an amazing win...

I didn't turn it off.

But I was watching the game in the living room with my roommates.....and right after Romo's 3rd INT....I went upstairs to my room and watched it alone.

My roommates had a field day with it. Grossman-Romo comparisons were being made. And I said nothing. There was no defense for how piss poor Romo played.
