I’ve been watching football since the mid 70’s and have never seen a call like that. Tripping was always when an OL was on the ground but swung his legs into someone.

yeah that's usually the spirit of the rule it has to be intentional not incidental contact since that literally happens every play.

Absolutely insane. Beating the patriots is difficult enough, having to beat the refs as well is next to impossible.

We had the entire game to score a TD. The tripping call was the least of our problems.

Everyone knows about the bad officiating. Don't put yourself in a position where this stuff matters. Even then, we still had a chance, bad pass and a drop ended the game.

Those two penalities cost the Cowboys the game and a reminder how bad the officiating is. Granted they put themselves in this position with two turnovers and some questionable coaching. Feels like another game the Cowboys should have won.
