A lot to be said for this type of thinking, especially when it comes to a vet of Newman's caliber.

Jones talked addressed holding Owens out of early TC drills and preseason practices last year, referring to not wanting to leave a player's time on the field at the end of a season for the sake of having him there during early practices.
