Lets keep this simple we have 8 games left.
How many wins does Jason Garrett have to have for you to feel comfortable
with him remaining as Headcoach next season ?

I know many feel here that he has been tainted by the current situation.

Personaly he could win out and I would still want Gruden.
I just dont feel that JG has the gravitos needed to command the respect that
this locker room will need.

Your Number of wins ?

I don't think the number of wins is as important to how the team plays and responses to him. If this team pulls out 3 - 4 wins but plays hard and competitive in all of them, JG has the job.

I'd go along with that.

I don't think he even needs 3-4 wins in JJ's mind.

The key is how the team plays and if they show sufficient improvement.

Zero. I think he needs to prove what he said yesterday. He's no nonsense,
doesn't care what the players think and that he's going to motivate and put his persona on these players.

Kitna is the starting QB, I don't expect wins.

All he needs is for guys to play hard.

I don't think any coach can win under these circumstances but Focus and enthusiasm on the field is the #1 priority.

Zero.

Change the mentality and atmosphere and put a respectable team on the field.

By respectable, put a team that doesn't quit in the first half. Right now, Dallas has quit in the first half for the last 2 weeks.

I agree. He doesn't need to win just prove he can lead the team and that means we see improvement on the field.

I'd like to see a scenario where we don't win another game but he shows enough of this nebulous "leadership" and "mentality" to prove he's the best candidate for the job next year.

I agree, I dont think it matters how many wins he gets this 8 game stretch he is hamstrung from the get go. If and thats a BIG if, he manages to pull this squad together to resemble anything positive he Might get another contract. If not, not a Chinaman's chance in hell will he be retained. It is an uphill battle, the defense will be tanking it, hell more than half of them already know there not coming back next year so why risk the injury. Red Ball better be able to dial up a lot of points with his offense. Do you really see that happening?

I love your JG hate CL.

Im sure you will have more followers in the coming weeks. I may be one of them too.

Like many said, the boys need to show improvement mentally and physically on the field. Garett needs to also show that he is not afraid to bench players no matter who they are if they don't play up to their talent.

I don't think wins are the most important thing here as much as getting the team turned around and moving in the right direction. Wins are going to be hard to come by with Romo out of the picture. I mean our terrible offensive line and an un-mobile QB in Kitna. That is a huge problem to overcome.

I can't hate, but I'm not sold on this idea so I guess I'm standing next to CL on this one. I also didn't see any other viable options to finish this season.
Now next season is different all together.

Im not sold on it either but I do see where people are coming from who say you can never be yourself if you aren't "the guy".

Well he is the guy and the only thing he has to accomplish is getting guys to play with effort.

A win vs Detroit wouldn't hurt his cause either.

Im just going to gather more information and then come to my conclusion.

He may be a way better headcoach than he is a playcaller so who knows.

I think if he won a couple games, the Jone's would be happy AS LONG AS the team isn't getting shelled by 20 points (or more) in the losses.

If he can get this team to show a pulse and be competitive I don't think wins matter one way or the other.

2-3 wins PLUS being very competitive in all the rest. A blow out or 2 could be bad for him: 3 bad blowouts and he doesn't come back
