How Many Wins Will It Take?

The NFC will have some very good teams this season. I think that's good for increasing the wins to advance to the playoffs. I think it will go as follows...

1. 14 wins Rams
2. 13 wins Packers
3. 12 wins Saints
4. 10 wins Cowboys
5. 12 wins Bears
6. 10 wins 49ers

Packers winning 13 games? No way.

I would say you are at the high end for division championship. The NFC east is a bloodbath. Teams in this division routinely knock each other off.

The winner of this division had 10 or less victories in 6 of the last 9 seasons.

It's predicted that it will be a two horse race this season, the Cowboys and Eagles, but I don't think the Commanders and Giants will let them pass by unschathed.

1. To win the NFC top seed? Home Field throughout.

2. To win second place and a bye?

3. To win the NFC East? Just to win the east.

4. To make it as a Wild card?

My opinion

1 - 13

2 - 12

3 - 10.5

4 - 9.5

I could be wrong. I am lousy at this.

All look spot on average wise, every year can be an outlier of course.

No way GB will be THAT good with that mediocre roster around a legendary but aging and injured QB.

1. 13 wins Cowboys
2. 12 wins Seahawks
3. 11 wins Panthers
4. 9 wins Packers
5. 13 wins Eagles
6. 12 wins 49ers

7. 12 wins Rams
8. 11 wins Saints
9. 9 wins Bears
10. 8 wins Lions
11. 7 wins Falcons
12. 7 wins Vikings
13. 5 wins Commanders
14. 4 wins Cardinals
15. 3 wins Giants
16. 2 wins Buccaneers

Hey, that "aging QB" spent the offseason trying to keep up with his girlfriend, Danica Patrick. She is constantly posting how they just got a great "workout" in. He'll be in tip-top shape for this season and shock the world. :p

I would say we need at least 11 to 12 with the Eagles schedule. I cant see them winning any less then 9-10.

Tend to agree. They would need some injuries to some key players or just an injury to Carson Wentz (which is possible) for them to fall below that 11 win total IMO with that schedule. Granted, for all we know, some teams we think will be average could end up being pretty good and present a tough matchup for them.

I think a key game will be that early Falcons game for them. If the Eagles can win that game, it's likely going to take 11, likely 12, to win the division.

Can't see how both the Cowboys and Eagles win 13 games. Has two divisional teams ever won that many games in the same season? I ask because I honestly don't know.

Packers are going to be better than people here think IMO. They made some really good moves to sure up the defense and their offense, as long as Rodgers can stay healthy, should be good.

The other 2 teams are bad and the NFC North isn't particularly great and the AFC East is 1 contender and 3 bad teams.

I have a rule of thumb : get to 10 wins before you get to 6 losses and you will win your division. As far as homefield, I would think 13 would do it.

Haskins is a rookie and not many rookies will light it up. Peterson is older now as well. It's possible but even though Washington was leading the division I don't think it would have stayed that way. Had Dallas not traded for Cooper it's possible they would have stayed in the driver's seat but I'm not sold on Washington.
Commanders were 6-3 when Smith broke his leg, they only needed to win 4 of last 7 to finish 10-6'
I checked and they are having a qb competition in camp and PS with the 3 qbs and they said the best one will start.
I think there is a good chance they are in the mix for div title this season.

It's possible but I think they finish ahead of the Giants. In my opinion they are fighting Philly for that 2nd place but both misses the playoffs.
