I'm not a huge fan of Zeke because he played at Ohio State, but he is a Cowboy, so I guess I'll let that slide. It is interested to see that most pundits have us winning the East with about 10 wins; would that be true if we had drafted a defender like Ramsey (a player I was not wild about)?

I'll stick with the rb, rather than the guy who just had knee surgery and is more likely to be another Mo Claiborne

Not sure about the wins...but this thread kind of seems like another attempt to hash over the pick itself. The draft simply didn't offer an over-abundance of upper-tier talent. Goff, Wentz, & Bosa were gone...and time will tell how they turn out as with any pick. It came down to Elliott & Ramsey if staying put at #4. While I like Ramsey...I would take Elliott each time given the current structure of the team.

As another poster said...more so than anything, it will come down to Romo staying healthy. Elliott has the opportunity to contribute to that end.

As long as Romo is in the lineup we can win games with the Morris/McFadden combo in the backfield. Our RB situation is much stronger than it was at this time last year.

No. Romo would be back in the MASH unit by the 4th week and it will be another year of 6 win purgatory.

Zeke will become Romo's second BFF next to Witten.

cowboys should be able to beat the bad teams without zeke.
zeke will help you win the tough games and in the playoffs.
how many there are - depends on the schedule.

Nope. At the time Ramsey was picked, he would not have helped us because the only way a CB can help you is if you limit how much time he has to cover WRs. If he gets hung out to dry, then he too will get burned.

Anyhow, lets do a pirouette about this.

Most had us winning the division last year and look how that turned out. Zeke is the only chance we have to go anywhere in the playoffs because it takes the pressure off of Romo to carry the team by himself.
