How much better can we feel about our QB room?

We have our leader in Dak, we just acquired Milton, and we have Grier, how do you feel compared to recent seasons with our depth at QB. To keep it recent, we recently had Rush and Lance. Lance being a top pick in the draft, expectations were high on him, but we see how that turned out. Rush did some good things for us, but his lack of athleticism hurt us. With that said, and the injuries Dak has gone through, have we done enough to make you feel good about our QB room? Especially if Dak were to miss a few games?

Dak ain’t the leader no more than Milton will be the leader the next time Dak decides to quit on the team again and take some weeks off.

The starting QB isn’t always the leader.

I don’t think the offense has a leader on this team.

The QB room is still bottom 5.
Hard to call someone a leader who hasn't gotten you far, but is making the top at his position

He’s a loser.

If only Jerry had the courage to admit to his mistake in signing him the way the Browns owner has admitted to making a mistake with Watson it would go a long way.
lol you know how this team is, we talk about things AFTER players leave. Don't want until then, be a man, ruffle some feathers!! They get mad, they should play better!

Making the top at his position is Jerry's fault and in no way makes in any kind of leader except when it comes to direct deposits in the bank.
The notion of NOT wanting to replace him is the biggest fault of his, everyone in this league is replaceable! We should have 1 year contracted him each season sheesh, now we're trapped!

The only way I feel better is if Dak leads them to an NFCCG. If Dak fails to reach that level, it just reinforces what a terrible contract he was given. If Dak gets hurt and Milton does well, it reinforces what a terrible contract Dak was given and further proves you are better off building around a young cheap QB than paying a good QB Elite money.

I feel better about it but would love for them to take a day 3 flyer on another QB.
I could see us still doing that just to have someone to develop
This is what the plan was for Dak when they drafted him. He should have been a temporary starter (when Tony decided to hang it up) while the FO was looking for another veteran starter. Not keep Dak as our Franchise QB. Had the FO not been lazy and actually found someone capable of being a franchise QB (even for a season or 2 while Dak develops), I think Dak would have been better off and he wouldn't be giving us ammunition to talk about him...

great post!!

Somewhat better. Seeing as this is not a great QB class overall, I like that the Cowboys addressed it with Milton. Now they won't be forced into drafting a developmental QB while being at the mercy of who is available when they pick.

Dak's health still worries me, but Milton's skill set is intriguing. Feel so much better having him here instead of Trey Lance.

still need to draft a guy in later rounds. 2 is not enough in todays NFL

I think they still need to bring in 2 more QBs for TC. Grier is not the answer for back up either. Unless somehow he made leaps and bounds from the last time we seen him.

They need competition for not just the backup, but for the 3rd QB as well. Maybe stash one on the PS also.

Many may believe Milton will be handed the backup. But he will need to earn it as well.
This will make TC more interesting along with the new coaching staff and any changes.

Jerry is the biggest loser. He is the one that built the roster and paid the guys being complained about. Not to mention his inability to hire competent and relevant head coaches. Dak is only a small part of the bigger problem in Dallas. You could put Mahomes on the roster and he probably wouldn’t be successful with this organization.
