How much did Dallas running all over Carolina help prep them for playoffs?

They didn't show up against us, their left tackle was waving Ware by like a traffic cop.

Carolina was flat against us.
We did wake them up but don't think they wouldn't have spanked us 23-10 in the playoffs because they would have.

Yeah, they didn't show up ... they came out flat ... it's all the left tackle's fault ... they'd blow us out next time. Please. Never mind that they were at home and would have clinched a playoff spot with a win, or that they jumped out to a 10-0 lead in the first 5:11, or that they staged a touchdown drive in the final minutes that would have won the game (if we hadn't done the same thing).

I would have liked our chances in the playoffs because all the NFC teams are on about the same level. I think we would have a hard time again a team with a D like Chicago, but I would have loved our chances against the Seahawks. We match up well with them very well.

I would like to think their Dallas Game was like our Washington Game, the 2nd time around.

Just an anomaly as we were in every ball game this year and just didnt play well that game.

Just like they played well against the run most of the year and Julius Jones had not had a 100 yard game at that point in the season.

Just give it up, we are sitting at home and they are going to the NFC Championship.

Not sure what would have happened if we had actually made the playoffs and played them, but that is all speculation.

So we can use that excuse against Washington but no one else can right? This is the same bull**** whining you same guys did two years ago when we beat Carolina in the regular season, what happened in the playoffs?

...the way Indy did doesn't seem to help teams too much. It didn't do Pittsburgh any favours last year and it didn't help Indy.

Losses during the regular season is another step in developing a team for the playoff run. Teams that are able to overcome their hurdles and peak for the right time of the season are the ones poised to make a push for the Lombardi.

You play during the regular season for the playoffs, but you begin your winning drive in the last few weeks and try to sustain it for the five week tournament.

Whatever, we outplayed Carolina, period. Dallas dominated in the running game and Delhomme was pressured consistently most of the day. Dallas came out flat to start trhe game and fell behind 10-0. They showed considerable resolve in coming back and dominating Carolina from that point forward.

If you want to see a flat team, look at our performance against St. Louis, when the team knew they had no chance to qualify for the postseason.

What are you talking about? If we had jumped out to a 10-0 lead in the first five minutes against Washington, then had re-taken the lead with a touchdown drive late in the fourth quarter but lost the game at the very end, only a genuine moron would say we lost because we came out flat -- especially if we could have clinched a playoff spot by winning.
