If he wants to be a Cowboy so bad, then why did he void the last year of his contract?

The void in Witten’s contract is probably based on playing time incentives (just like Julius’s is), so it voided automatically.

Witten won’t get $10 mil. a year. But he could get $4 - $5 mil. a year and up to $10 mil. guaranteed just like Todd Heap.

Witten sounds like a team player, so maybe he will sign a bit cheaper (like Greg Ellis), but I think he will get a fair deal.
