How much does Chuckie (Gruden) want to coach in Big D next year? *Merge*

I like Gruden

Him and Holgrem are the only outsiders I would really want.

Did anyone else noticed Gruden had a lot of good things to say about the team and the organization? It seemed like he was saying all the right things because he would like to have the job next year if Gramps is gone.

Yes, I thought the same thing too...

He has lots of fire so he could be good for the team. I also like his enthusiasm.

I think with Wade, the penalties, missed assignments, etc. are going to keep popping up and never subside even a little. It is what it is...

I like him offensively: he called out Red for those two idiotic passes into the endzone for RW and Marty, but who would coach the D'? He had Kiffen for most his years in Tampa.....................wouldn't be an option here obviously.

could you imagine Grudens press conferences to the Dallas media?? It would be something we havent seen since Parcells cause Wades PC are weak

Gruden PC's aren't all that exciting, but he would be an intriguing pick up. Not sure if I'd like the WCO here though.

All the Wade-Love....NOT....is underwhelming. I guess those want to see the Cowboys miss the SB so we can get rid of Wade. I'm not firing a coach who goes deep in the playoffs.

Of course if he fails then he should go.

I'm a big fan of the WCO, I just hate the way coaches like Reid run it.

I was saying the same thing to my buddies it was like he was presenting his resume to Jerry during the broadcast. A bunch of yall might not like me for it but I would be all for Gruden coaching our team he has that fire to get into players arses and he would do WONDERS for Romo and his maturation.

Like he did with Bobby Hoying.

I think it's premature (still) to give up on Wade. That was a very very good Defensive ***ort tonight. That said, had he lost tonight I would not have been opposed to Jerry locking the doors to Jerryworld and not letting Gruden leave the building until he came to terms.

Gruden's an awesome coach, and he would be very very good for Tony.

I think its a great fit for Romo with his timing and release. Cuts way down on his chances to "improvise."

Norm is about to start discussing this topic, and it is funny he is bringing it up b/c I was thinking the same thing as he was gushing over Tony Romo. Your thoughts? I'd love to see a personality like his in here after the Wade years end (hopefully at the end of this season).

There could be something to it, I suppose, but I love how folks are implying there's no way Gruden just happens to like one of the best QBs in football without some sinister alterior motive behind the comments.

I would love to have someone with his fire on the sidelines.

It's kind of ridiculous that as soon as an analyst likes our QB, who happens to be one of the top 5 in the league, that all the sudden he's in line to coach us.

Just so happens he's not a brain-dead idiot like Keyshawn, who didn't actually "play with" Romo for two years, nor is he Steve Young who obviously hates the Cowboys, nor is he anybody on the ESPN Countdown staff, all of which have an axe to grind against us.

Gruden's just a good dude. And game recognizes game. He could coach us next year I guess, but this game doesn't mean anything toward it.

I liked his commentary. I felt like it was refreshing hearing some nice perspective out of ESPNs commentary compared to last years game.

I don't think that's something you would want to take away from Tony. That's what separates him from the rest. Sure, it may get him in trouble, but the dynamics of his play come from his ability to improvise.

And by the way.... for Steve ripping on Tony for making that cross-field pass to Tashard...

HE WAS WIDE OPEN, YOU FACKING DUMBARSS!!!!!

Why are you cracking on our QB for making a pass to a guy who had NOBODY WITHIN 15 YARDS OF HIM???????????? AND IT WAS A FIRST DOWN!!!!!!!!

Never ceases to amaze me. They wouldn't let that play go, and it was an utter success. Just impossibly dumb.
