How much does Linehan help us against Detroit?

Linehan was a big part of Stafford's and Johnson's development. Their offense has taken a big step backwards this season and I believe the loss of Linehan is one of the main reasons why. He will be able to provide a lot of insight on how they (players) think on offense.

I've always felt that the returning coach has a huge advantage if he sees his old team the year after he left them.

good point. Its big advantage. This game has so many subplots:

1) Linehan vs Det
2) Romo vs Stafford (two players with big numbers but not much in playoff wins)
3) Suh being rumored to be going to Dallas no less than mill x by fans.
4) Dez vs CJ - who is best WR at this stage
5) Det horrible road team vs Dallas who was not good home team this year.

I'm sure he can offer some good info to plan against. But also, is Detroit running the same or similar offense that Linehan did while there, or did they change it.

I think he will be a big help. He knows Staffords strengths and weaknesses. Bush as well.

It won't be the difference between a win or a loss, but his insight will help.

It could also work the other way around, but Detroit looks to bad for it to tell matter.

Lions had no shot at beating GB today, they also we very very close to losing both Vikes and Bears game he previous two weeks. Stafford looked bad. I believe they had an oline injury today too but can't find any article about it. Right tackle I think but I was flipping back and forth with Seattle game so not 100%

How much has he helped the Cowboys with his play-calling and Romo with his coaching?

It can help in preparation but the players will decide it on the field, mainly how they do against Johnson. I believe Rod will have a different plan this time around than what went on last year when Carr covered him the whole game.

I think they have tried to be more conservative and rein Stafford in a little bit to cut down on turnovers. Trying to make their offense more "Stafford-Friendly"...... lol

He's probably got even more incentive if he needed any going against his former team.

New center and one of the guards, both played average and would be a focus of the boys next week if they continue to play.

Riola should be back from his suspension and back to starting for the Lions.

Marinelli has a Detroit background too. 0-16. Ouch. I hope he continues to haunt them come Sunday.:D

He looks like Romo in...was it 2011 maybe...when Tony did everything he could to not turn the football over and the offense ended up struggling because of it.
