How much effect did the Rams' week off have?

We had hoped, of course, that out having played the week before would mean we have more momentum and the Rams would be rusty. Well, the Rams certainly didn't look rusty. Most of the game they out-powered us in the trenches. Are they that much better a team or were they just better rested?

They are better than us but only to the tune of 8 points apparently. Better things are coming. Given how 'awful' we were and we were on the road I reckon there are things to be positive about for next season. Yes, I know the 'next season' mantra is tiring but we really have made strides since being a 3-5 also ran at the halfway point of the season.

Every team with a bye won.

People need to stop it with this idea that you get rusty with a bye week and playing in the wild card is a good thing.

Playing in the wild card is a huge disadvantage to try and overcome.

Just because Garrett botched it in 2016 doesn't mean it's not a big advantage.

It had a big impact.
Even bigger was the fact that they had played the seahawks twice so already had their scouting done on them. They literally had 2 weeks to prep for US......

The Cowboys had just played in a physical slug fest against a physical Seattle team.

The Rams finished the season against a soft 49ers team, a fresh CJ Anderson and a bi week.

I'd say they were well rested.
