How much he has made makes no difference. What he's worth is the issue.

'What he's worth' in a free market becomes relevant only when he is a free agent (or has a clear path to free agency, like Bell did).
It's absurd to use that as the standard when he remains under contract for another 2 years. Does it follow, in your view, that we should tear up his contract each time someone else gets a bigger deal?
In any case, he's been paid top 5 RB money since he entered the league, which is where he comfortably ranks.
