How much input will Shotty have on the draft and free agency?

If the coaching hires are an example I would say more than previous coaches would have. No way Uncle Jed and Jethro found Adams, Whitecotton or Riley on their own.

The ones Jerry wanted was familiar with we're gone or no longer wanted to a part of the circus. gone. So don't give Jerry credit for picking from what was still available.

I'm not giving Jerry credit. These are very good hires. Jerry would not have even known who they are.
 
Good thing Schottenheimer knows the routine by now, he will act all thrilled when the injured guy or way overdrafted TE in the second round is picked by Jerry.
 
His input is irrelevant and not welcome. Jerry and Stephen have it handled. They‘ve assigned him to watch the draft with Dak while he massages Dak’s hammy and instructed him and Dak to praise Jerry and Stephen the whole time and record it so the can watch it later, together

Anyway, I don't think they are going through all these hires just to ignore what type of team they will build. At least from the draft.
FA, is an entire different animal. Especially after Jerry's recent comments. But who knows, it all could be him blowing smoke, but in a different direction this time.
We will see how many of their own they keep and how many they let walk. Key is will they each be the correct moves.

With the NFL Combine coming up and then FA starting, in what 3 weeks or so. All we can do is sit back and speculate. Most which will be for the bad side, and can't blame anyone for that until we see different. The track record, and a bad one at that, speaks for itself.

Is Brian hiring these staff guys or Jerry? Maybe I've missed it but I've seen no quotes or comments from Brian about the staff that has been hired...Jerry and his little boy, yeah I've seen a lot from them.
 
Booger didn't extend Will McClay to make his head coach a priority during the draft. Booger will Booger on comfortably.

Schotty will praise the pick claiming it was a group decision that makes us better.

yeah, I think they will let him have a say in the draft, and if they do anything in FA, which jerry already said they wouldnt, he would have a say there
IF they do anything.
But yeah I think this first year they let him do things his way, and see if he can put a better team on the field.

I think they let him hire his own coaches, and it is just Brian doing the hiring.

You think Brian's staff, is going to coach up a bunch of unwanted FA's signed a month after the draft?
 
Jerry Jr III doesn't exist and would have more input than the new HC.
 
It's like some pretend they don't know why this favor hire was promoted. It wasn't to change the culture or have any input whatsoever.

After almost 30 years coaching experience, I think Shottenheimer probably has a lot of contacts around the league. I'm pretty sure he had input on the coaching hires. As far as the draft & FA I'm not as confident, but he's been here & knows what we need.

They best focus on coaching up a certain QB. I am not concerned over any FA's. They will be there on 1 year prove deals. They don't need to be coached up.
It is the QB and his comfortable situation that needs it.

Yes, really great.

I knew about it for a long time. But somehow never was in the mood to watch it. Until one of my colleges told me how great it is and that i really have to.

Now i cant understand why i didnt do it long time before. The casting crew made a phenomenal job. John Godman is just so hilarious. Great Actor. All the rest of course too.
