How much of Harrington's good play in Miami can be accredited to Garrett?

I think a great deal of it can. He played much better and I hope he can have the same effect on Romo.

He played much much better in Miami than he did in Detroit, and he is the main reason why that team had as many wins as they did.

Yeah, his numbers make it look like he had a typical Harrington year, but by watching a few games {because my friend is a dolphins fan} he played much better then he did in Detroit IMO. He was still forcing passes but he did improve a lot and did just enough to allow them to win a few games. The season could have been worse without him I believe. As always I could be absolutely wrong, but that's just my opinion.

By the way, I'm not a huge Jason Garrett supporter nor a Joey Harrington supporter, just chiming in on what I saw.

Harrington sucks, he diddnt play well, he never did in his career. You cant judge Garrett by how he did with 3 complete stiffs that ****** Saban brought in to attempt to be quarterbacks.

Well yeah if a person wants to say that he played better by actually watching him I'm in no position to argue cause that was the last team I had any interest in watching.

But you'd sure never know it by his numbers. While his completion percentage went up a point-point and a half, his YPA dropped by bout 1/2 a yard and his TD/Int ratio was worse than the previous 2 years.

Who is upset? I am just saying that Harrington sucks, Culpepper sucks, and Cleo Lemon sucks, and that them sucking has nothing to do with Garrett.

I'll agree with you on the Culpepper part and half way on the Harrington part{he still played better this year in my opinion though}. Lemon played pretty well in preseason if I remember correctly, but he is a third stringer so I'm not going to judge him just yet, who knows he might be a pretty good third string QB.

Did you ever watch him play in Detroit?

He was the same QB in Miami as he was in Detroit. He's always been good at "dink and dunk" but he's incapable of doing anything else and always has been.

You guys and your koolaid.

If Saban would have been smart enough to sign Brees when he had a chance, just think how good a qb coach Garrett would have been.;)

Geez, I'm not saying he played like Peyton Manning. He had like 12 TD's and 15 INT's, I said those are his typical numbers. However, by watching the games he did seem to improve. I don't think he'll ever be a quality starting QB, but the guy did play better this year, his numbers were his usual showing but he managed the game much better this time around. I agree completely with anybody who would make the statement "Harrington is a subpar starting QB" I'm just giving the guy a little credit. Also my assesment comes from sitting int he recliner watching TV so take it for what it's worth, not like I'm a pro scout or anything, just an opinion.

Yep..

And how ordinary the Saints likely would've been.

That Heisman sign that they made of Harrington when he was at Oregon was awesome!

Garrett helped Harrington from the depths of "universally sucky" to "Hey, he'd make a pretty good back-up", so that speaks volumes about Garrett!

This is not a bash Garrett thread, don't know why it turned into one.
