How much preseason will you watch

weve been craving football so the first game is like water in the desert. But thinking back to recent years, I’ve decided not to watch second halves of most games because 90% of the guys that ball out in the 3rd and 4th quarter still never see the light of day in September.

Remember George Selvie? Looked like Michael Strahan in the HOF game and ended the year with like 6 sacks. He did see the field but was nothing special when real players were blocking him.

Moore isn’t going to show whatever wrinkles there are. Probably the most we can see out of preseason is If Daks mechanics look better.

Weird that you'd single out Selvie as a scrub that wasn't worth watching. He was quite the opposite - a reclamation project that ended up being a jewel. He was one of the more effective pass rushers on the team and he cost them nothing in draft capital. Just the kind of thing you're hoping to discover in the preseason. I would have rather watched him earn a spot than see Taco get reps in the second quarter just to confirm the suspicions that he was a bust back on draft night.

We may get some glimpse of how Moore varies the pace of the offense. It'll be interesting to see the 2nd string offensive line too, they are not slouches. The young DEs and WRs too. Plus the new young safety.

I enjoy watching all. After months of no football I will watch all of the pre season games of Dallas. I also like seeing the young guys who are trying to make the team. Unlike reg season the outcome of the game means nothing to me since pre season is more about individual players not as much about team. Except for 1st unit when they are out there I do expect them to produce but once they exit the game to me it is more about individual players making plays as they try to earn a spot

I usually just watch the first 3 cowboys games. And only the first half or so when starters and primary backups are playing.

To be honest I enjoy reading about training camp more than watching the preseason games. But the preseason games at least give me a taste of NFL football.

I don’t watch any other teams games. I also don’t watch the 4th preseason game because by then I know the regular season is right around the corner and I can wait.

I love football. I will watch every snap I can. I'll also post game day menus for all Cowboy games. Nothing fancy for preseason. Maybe some bologna sandwiches! Salud!

I try to watch all the preseason games. However, much of what’s seen in those games will be taken with a grain of salt (see: Rico G and Darius J).

Just like the team, we fans need to get prepped and up-to-speed up for the regular season.

Every cowboy game from start to finish. Some of the others I have time for. Most of the 3rd pre-season games, especially our division and teams we'll play.

My son is starting his 2 a days Aug 5th and this is last year of football. His 1st scrimmage is the 15th so that's starts about 30hrs a week of watching film. So any time I have to watch the preseason games, I'll watch.

I look forward to the season starting, but I don't watch all the preseason games unless the first teamers are playing or I know someone on the teams or interested in a particular player.

Selvie finished like 2nd on the team in sacks that first year so...

I will watch most of the games. I like seeing the depth get some playing time to see how they do. Hopefully our backup O-line looks better than last year. They were just horrid. I'm not one of those people who get upset when we lose a pre-season game though. Those people...what a sad life.

I get excited for the first preseason game because hey, it's Cowboys football. But after about 10-15 minutes when the backups hit the field and guys that have no shot of making the roster start playing I remember how much I hate preseason. LOL.

The only game I really, really watch is that third game. And even then, I am usually checking out by the mid-third quarter.

How can a die hard Cowboy fan NOT watch the entire game of every preseason game? I enjoy tremendously watching the young players trying to live out their life long dream of becoming an NFL player. Many of these players in the 2nd half of games are backups, QB the most important position an example, therefore extremely interesting.
