How much time will Wade have to work with defense?

Head coach of the Dallas Cowboys has got to be the most time consuming caoching job there is. I think the DC hire is going to be huge.

you nailed it. The DC choice will be crucial. Will Wade be allowed to bring in someone he is familiar with and has had success with? or will Jerry force Bowles upon Phillips similar to what he did with forcing Zimmer upon Parcells.

Well, Bowles does know the personnel and what they can do better than anyone that Phillips could bring in. All I know is new coach means a few extra minicamps with the full team here.

What do you know about Bowles? How do you know he's not going to be a good DC under Phillips?

Pardon me, but your reaction was unreasonable. Just because Bowles was a coach while Parcells was hear doesn't mean he'll want the defense to play that way or that he liked the defense Parcells employed. In fact given how much our defensive players seemed to like Bowles and the rumblings of defense discontent with how they were schemed in the 3-4, I'm thinking Bowles might easily have been one of the few who wanted a more aggressive style of play which also put a player in the best position to get the job done. But do believe it will be Phillips call cause I read yesterday that on Tuesday Phillips had been calling around contacting several coaches he interested in bringing with him.

Remember our defense played pretty well the first half but collapsed the second half I believe due to the play calling and scheme Parcells employed. Phillips much more aggressive and his Chargers had 61 sacks in 06 compared to our paltry 30+ which one of the worse in the NFL.
