how much to pay at Alamodome?

There is no charge to enter the stadium to watch a practice. That part is free. Parking costs you $10 an entrance. That fee goes to the city of San Antonio and I was glad to pay it. Any food or drink has to be bought inside the stadium. That concession is controlled.

Now, if you want in a half hour early than everyone else, join up in the Dallas Cowboy Star fanclub. They were selling memberships for $20 a person at site. It gets you seated in the North and field goal section. Go up to the front row quickly as you can if you join Star. That is where there usually is a few token autographs conducted after practice...

Other than that, enjoy the practice, root for the Cowboys and enjoy San Antonio. Going up to the observation room atop the Tower of America will cost an adult about $11. A small picture packet runs about $30. A meal in their restaurant will run you around $40 a piece. It is good although. There are many sites, most of San Antonio is visitor friendly. The riverfront starts about at the Grand Hyatt where the Cowboys stay...hope I helped.

Thanks for that, it was perfect timing for me. I'm going this afternoon.

If you go on a weekend, it'll be crowded. You can avoid the crowd by paying $20 or whatever it is for a Dallas Cowboys fan club membership. Fan club members get to enter the stadium (and thus get the good seats) before everyone else.

Plus it's SOOO friggin hot standing around outside so getting in early is worth it. Also, stop and get some water and drink it while you wait outside or walk around. That'll help not running straight to the concession stand. So if you walk to the stadium and bring your own water, the practice is 100% free. One thing you could do is go to the team hotel and wait outside next to their bus. I saw several people doing that as I drove by to the stadium and they were yelling at the players as they got on the bus and you could get within 20 feet of them. And the walk is just across the highway on the alamodome path from their hotel.

$10 parking

Eat at Rosario's and take it from me, the frozen Sangria hits the spot on a hot South Texas summer day.

Looking forward to the report! :)

Cletis looked like a man child on defense today. One of the third team WR's was making some great plays. I'll have to download my camera to see what his number was.

Roy has turned into...No one, he's still Roy Williams. He dropped a bullet pass in the end zone in 11 on 11 drills. Granted, it hit him in a very tough place to catch the ball, right in the hands. I was pretty pissed off, caught me wrong. I let him know a lap was in order. The people in my section thought it was funny, but I wasn't trying to be amusing.

WR's went one on one against the CB's on the far side of the field for some long bomb passes that had the folks sitting parallel to the field cheering.

Herr Buehler split the uprights on a 40 and 42 yard attempt and the ball was hitting near the upper 1/5th of the catch net. I would be shocked if at some time he doesn't get to attempt a 60+ yarder. He's got the range.

The starting offensive line walked out today as a group to not nearly enough cheers.

Martellus had a few balls thrown his way and caught them all IIRC.

Sherman and Garrett put the WR's on either side of the endzone, called them a route, and then called the route cut off in some direction. The WR's were then supposed to follow a protocol to run a specific change of direction route so that all of the WR's are doing the same thing in response to a certain situation. That's what I think I could hear Sherman yelling to them.

Thanks, Saltwater... You wonder if Cletis just wasn't going all out in that video of him in the other thread where he looks slow.

Wonder who that WR was... Maybe #15? :)

Winner Winner Chicken Dinner. Mr. Manny it was. Titus Ryan also got my attention.

Hey Salty, how did McGee look? He caught my attention somewhat on Sunday morning...as his timing on some pass, and execution were pretty nice on deep balls. He had a couple mistimed passes with receivers but they seemed to be coming out quickly or a change on receivers....good presence.

He needs a bit more velocity on his passes which stuck out to me last Thursday as well. His decision making is better than last year, but there were two plays today where the passes in the 11 on 11 would have been sacks.

One of the interceptions was a poorly thrown ball. Think it was the last one. He put it inside on a comeback route allowing the CB an easy path to the ball.
