I'm hoping Harris can prove himself to be consistent.

Any clue if Dez and Austin will play much? I'm looking at Harris, since he's my draft darling. I want to see him get a lot of reps. As well as Tyron Smith; he's definitely on my watch list. I'm also hoping to see Ogletree perform well too. And I'm looking forward to watching the offensive line as a whole

I'm looking forward to seeing more of McGee. And since I'm prepping for my colonoscopy tomorrow, I'll be preparing to see lots of Poots.

On defense, let the heads roll. I want everyone competing.

I'd think he'd play around 2 quarters. Maybe a bit more.

Radway, Johnson, Poots, and D Harris should get quite a few reps this game.

I want to see him in there with Miles and Dez. It will be interesting to see who they use if they use 3 WR sets.

I almost forgot about Radway. I think he fits our scheme well. He just seems like a Jason Garrett player to me.

That's about all I needed to know. Thanks for acting as if you were objective though.

Objective? How am I not being objective?

Anytime you attempt to discuss players you are fond of (Spencer, Harris, Roy in the past....).

I like Spencer. I never thought Roy was bad. He definitely wasn't worth what we spent. My problem with Roy is he is a slow learner and slow reacting at times. Harris seems to be the exact opposite.

You sound like it's a bad thing to have favorite players....that's a first.
I don't follow your reasoning. He was being honest.
I probably missed something that went on between you two beforehand?

Let's see if the kid can sustain something. We've had our share of Reshard Lees in the past.

I think Harris will eventually be the Cowboys slot wideout. I think it's asking a lot from him this year.

For example, in the scrimmage vs. the Chargers on Friday, Harris ran the wrong route and Witten "let him know it" (if you know what I mean). Later in the game Harris caught a TD pass (against Gilchrist the SD CB if I remember correctly).

I think the talent is there, but he just needs a bit of time to adjust to the pro game. That's not unusual.

In the meantime, I think Harris can definitely help out on STs quite a bit.

Miles is not playing today however he will probably play most of the 3rd and 4th quarter. I am interested to see who they put out there with Dez and KO if they run the 3 wr sets today.

This is how I see it.

Both in that scrimmage and in the game, Harris ran a wrong route and got an earful for it. The good news for Cowboy fans (and Harris) is that in both cases he responded very well.

I'm not sure if anyone has noticed Garretts reaction whenever people ask him about Harris. Next time, check it out.
You can tell he has very mixed emotions and does not want people to get carried away. He always has this look (almost embarrassed look) that he wants to both give the kid a compliment (usally mentioning his playmaking skills) but also let everyone know he has a long way to go (mentions his need to learn how to be an NFL receiver).
I think right now, Harris aoften has a tough time getting space on his breaks, but when he does do the job he usually catched the ball and does something with it.

I'm pulling for him too, but right now I think Ogletree looks a little better and is well ahead of DH as a route runner.

If Miles does not play, I think he gets some rep with the 1st unit for sure tonight....both as a slot guy and in rotation with Ogletree.

Jeez, you want objectivity.....go to a medical Forum!!! This is a FAN FORUM and we're ALL crazy about our favorite draft picks, signings, and established Cowboy players. That being said, I, too, like Harris and I hope he beats out Ogletree for the 3rd WR spot. As a real Boys fan, I also liked Spencer and Roy in the past. I believe that you 'roll' with what you drafted or signed and then live with it....good or bad!!! You have to remember WHO is our Owner and GM. We are ALL subject to his decisions....good or bad!!!! Yes, we'd ALL would have preferred to see Jerrah HIRE a real football guy as our GM but he didn't and we haven't won squat since Jimmy Johnson!!! But, hey, that's another topic to discuss on another day!!!!:laugh2::laugh2::laugh2:

I want to see Harris with the starters some.

I want to see him vs. some starters on defense too. But I want him to have enough reps to show us what he can do like last game. I'm looking forward to Radway too. He seems different than past projects we've taken on.
